Since there is evidently a big "to do" over the PvP titles allowed for HoM in some cirlces, why not just remove the requirement all together?
PvP players will be happy b/c PvE players aren't buying "their" titles and Pve player are happy b/c they don't have to deal with PvP players.
Granted one could still use them for the HoM, there would just be no requirement. Heck then they could make the Zaishen title PvE and no PvE players would care.
Remove the 1 PvP title requirement

While I agree with you, im tired of hearing a bunch of PvPers bitching because they think its "unfair" that PvEers dont actually have to PvP for their PvP title. For that reason alone, im /signing.
Bitching is what PvP players do. They're elitest, min/maxing pricks, and they bitch.
Personally I could care less whether the one PvP title requirement stays or not, getting the 200 zkeys is a worthy challenge.
On the other hand, Lux/Kurz should have counted for that title, they were also originally meant for PvP but got hijacked by farmers.

I'm actually a little surprised that Luxon/Kurzick isnt PvP. While its roots is PvE related, i feel its more of a PvP title. <So why is there Alliance Battles???>

It's not so much the getting owned that bothers me, as the fact that even PvP success doesn't seem to be as profitable as PvE.
After 2 months of RA I ended up with a grand total of 76 points, 40 of those were from a double faction weekend where we rolled an extremely good team and got the 25 streak.
That's pretty much the whole story of PvP.
GvG for a month with a guild that's just trying to learn the basics, maybe you'll earn 30k balth faction and you'll be EXTREMELY lucky to earn one or two champ points.
RA for a month, expect to wade through a ton of rudeness, pricks that leave the team at the end of the counter so you get to face the next group 3/4, and even if you end up with an average team, it's a crapshoot whether you'll limp past 5 consecutive wins. Maybe you'll earn 20 glad points in that time.
Nty, in an hour of PvEing I can earn more zkeys than I'll get in a month of PvP.
And you, my friend can go back to the PvP forums and complain about the degenerate meta, the rank based lock-out of new players, and the slow death of most PvP formats.
Edit: Typo

If i do go PvP, its for shits and giggles with friends, not to outrank others in an endless competition to see who's better at following basic strategy over Vent. I dare domaspiragas to make more money then any decent PvE farmer :P

Since when did this become about money? And congratulations that you can sit at your computer redoing the same 2 min run over and over killing the same predictable monsters over and over. Numbing your mind until the farm is 2nd nature and you just zone out. Real fun...

yes, i too cant see why they didn't make the kurz/lux title track a pvp title.
except for the z-key title track, they would have been the only titles available for casual players or rather, players who didnt play since the begining or who discovered pvp a bit late and missed the train.
gladiator is night impossible without team arena (400 points for statue, 40,000 for max lol) so thats a joke.
if you havent got rank >9 (or as they say in ha: "glf r9++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++*(1 0^2)/(50,67^½)" not even saying what they are looking for, but rather what ranks they are lf, so yeah the rumor about pvp elitists existing is true!
(and the worst thing is that this have spread to places like toa in the form of "show 500 stones plox!, no noobs!"
to make no special reward more than any other would i find great but would rage about the entire pvp population that played since beta.
commander doesn't exist anymore (to gain i mean) and codex is a parody of RA.
alliance title at least is possible since it doesn't require consecutive wins or "r9^10*489,9++++++++++++++++,noobs will be shot upon sight and then killed again with fire!"
gvg title is slow, since you cant spam it like the "enter battle" button in ra as it takes a big deal of organization.

/signed i think?
edit: this inspired me to make this!
(sry for bad quality)

im down with this and i am the dude that started that z-rank title not being pvp. sometimes when you put a lot of work into something you get a strong opinion about it. this would fix that problem really if all titles were "equal". nice suggestion Essence. kudos.

I still don't understand why exactly people feel this needs to be fixed? If you want the points, work towards the PvP trophies. You can buy the r3 Z title for around a million gold if you bought every single ZKey you used. This is equivalent to buying FoW armor (around there, anyways). If you already have the PvP trophy, then why even concern yourself with other people trying to obtain it? If anything the PvP players should be complaining that all of the possible rewards and titles in GW2 are geared towards PvE players. If anything, there should be more PvP points available.
And why should PvP players care if PvE players are buying "their" titles. ZRank is hardly a PvP title...at all, and that is without a doubt what most PvE players will go to. If you have a problem with this, then you have a problem with the ZKeys system, and not the HoM rewards for a PvP title. Is this even a concern for PvP players, or are you just making it up to try and make a point?

I think it can go both ways.
Unfortunately the truly higher end of PvP is built around some sort of respect between each other (opponents) because the PvP community is dwindling too far, so we typically know each other fairly well from gaming with each other from the past few years.
I say that it is unfortunate because a lot of people will never get to experience that sort of respect.
So to come here and say if a terrible pve player was to play with you, you are immune to the "bitching/elitest" aspects in PvE?
Right.

It is also kinda fair if you think about it, since PvPer's who want to fill their Hall have to get other HoM-rewards too (like mini's, end-game weapons, armor) which they than have to buy with from PvEr's, with money from ZKeys. Or have you ever seen an ecto drop from a foe in RA/HA/GvG?
Isn't this a win/win situation?
