Nah, I use distort or just move whatever I want moving bit by bit using copy and paste. When I tried redrawing what I wanted moving, it came out to wiggly with really noticable skipping

Ahh, I also distort to get my animation frames. The last time I tried drawing frame-by-frame, the result was this (I also used the 'tween' option on Photoshop):
I was thinking about this post last night and I came to the decision that I want to try some more advanced frame by frame animating >.> I'm going to look around for video capture/video-to-frames shareware and see if I can do some animations based on the in-game GW animations for stuff.

There is a reason, in story that I have created for him I made him a swordsman, in fights he don't use staffs like other mages but he use black katana. And I dont have any other ref picture that isn't taken from game/movie/anime. I gave it for you to base on it, but now I dont have any clue about pose

I like your char designs! You have a char design style that I don't see very often in commissions. I'm kinda leaning towards Nayru right now, but Alice's theme (and the opportunities for a custom design that presents) are really tempting too. I know you asked for an annoyed expression, but your description of your ele makes me think that when she starts flaring up, her annoyance would turn into an evil grin as she gets ready to nuke whatever was annoying her, so that's what I did. I also tried out a new style for drawing hair, because my normal style is more "soft" and I wanted to give this pic a more icy look.
Edit: I've changed the layer order in the pic so that the overly noticeable white smoke that appears on her body during the animation is behind her, so that will be different in the final version.
Photobucket has a 1MB image size cap, so after I'm paid I'll upload the full quality version on dA.

Aww, that's cute! I haven't seen the 'tween' option on my version
I'm guessing PS elements doesn't include it D: I'm guessing it smooths out the transitions, which is really nice! I totally know what you mean about wanting to do more frame by frame stuff
I wish animated GIFs weren't so limiting
Others have suggested flash, and I guess there're always movie files like for quicktime, but that would mean a loooooooot of frames to draw and manage though...

I'm back again, after oversleeping and being unproductive, a month of raising a baby lovebird, piano camp, and (currently) a 12-day trip to Peru which will be over in 2 days. It's been a busy time in which I've only managed to draw a few personal works.
The trip has been very different from my past vacations and I think I'll be sufficiently inspired to draw for quite some time upon my return to the US on July 25th.
As stated in my original post, if you made a request at the end of my last active period (or while I was away from Guru) and are still interested in art, please say so - so that I may update my waitlist with current info.
I will be sending forum PMs to everyone on the waitlist about this.
My art style has shifted a bit again and I'm considering some more changes to this thread to accomodate that. I'll post some more after the trip. (Not sure how active Nolani is these days, I'm kind of out of the loop again.)
