Ok so I got even busier, so even closer if I will be able to participate. Perhabs I need to change my current idea to a bit smaller one

Anyway Minami, found another way to possibly remove some motion blur from a photo ( I know you have CS5, so do I, so you must have this feature!)

Filter>Sharpen>Smart Sharpen. There you got a little option says Remove: There you can select Motion blur aswell. If you set it on advanced, you can adjust alot of settings, so try it out for a while, see where it gets you Hope it helps!

Well, you could always show different stages of the video making. Like... put up a half-finished video as a wip or write down your thought process while making it, kind of like a diary-type thing. You can write about why you chose specific bits for the video, what you did to get them, etc. People would also be able to comment on your work and help out if you let them know what you're making and how you're planning on doing it.


@Tommy's: Sometimes simple is better! If you come up with a really brilliant idea, it could even work as something really simple.

I sketch very lightly because I usually change things a half bazillion times before I like it. I HATE when stuff doesnt erase cleanly..which is why I would like to start using digital, but we'll see. But yes, guesses so far are correct lol a face and a snowglobe.

All right, I talked to Regina and she informed me of the following:

- The official contest will be a regular one, NOT like wintersday hat design or similar.

- The wintersday contest won't have a separate category for costumes this time around.

- If we want a bigger, more all around party, the official site would display the art event as a community news update.

Please note that these infos can change anytime (nothing's for sure unless it already happened, right? ), I'll do my best to get updates and inform you guys if anything changes.

They will once the official contest has been announced I'm most sure that ArenaNet will put a link to this thread on the official site aswell.

@Minami, i'll PM this instead ...

@Infested, do like any normal video is made? ... write a script, if only a list of what you think the vid will be; make story board, just a couple of simple scetches of the story; start your project, make screenshots at various stages (or do a pre-render some 30-60% in); if you have music in it, post it or have us pick one if you have multiple and wonder which to pick ... tons of ways to convey progress on a movie ... maybe a .gif trailer with various screenshots ... get creative
