How do people even get to this quest not knowing GW basics though? I think Anet should do the opposite of putting a res, they should give your character permadeath if you fail these quests more than 5 times. It's for the better of us all, that we never have to PUG with shepherded-through players that don't know wtf.

Much to my embarrassment, I have to confess something about these missions:
I didn't understand how Sniper Shot worked until halfway through the third one. I was thrown off by the skill description where "Marked" was capitalized, so I thought the point was for me to combo it myself with Gravestone Marker. It obviously didn't work very well, but it worked by coincidence often enough that I assumed the failures were the results of interrupts and enemy tactics, not that I was confused about how the skills worked.
I'm used to playing with other humans who will either call targets for information purposes or to ask for help taking them down. So I assumed Miku was just doing the same thing. (I'm also used to people usually leading with a certain skill, so the fact it was always Promise of Death didn't really register in my mind.)
All this to say, I made it through two and a half missions without actually using the most overpowered skill properly. So when people complain about the difficulty, I tend to think maybe they need to just give it some more tries and get used to it, rather than trying it once or twice and deciding it's too hard.

Then by the end of the second mission I carefully looked and realized why she was calling them >.<

I thought she was calling spikes, so I would do what appeared to cause the most damage-- Gravestone Marker to mark the target and then Sniper Shot. Sometimes I could get both shots off fast enough to hit with Sniper Shot before Promise of Death was removed or ended, so my combo was working often enough for me to think I was doing what I was supposed to.
The problem is that Miku calls targets for a somewhat different reason than human party members do, so when you're used to playing with other humans it gets confusing what you're meant to do.

I did something similar. I quickly read the skills and conveniently missed the part where it mentions a "Marked" target in Sniper Shot. I had no idea what Miku was doing because every time she used that hex, I wasn't fast enough to read it. Even worse was not realizing I had an interrupt for a while.
I was too excited to just jump in and start shooting; that's what I get for being over-confident.

Ok Dont Panic
tbh i just thought i was being extremely lucky on the 25% until someone on vent was explaining that you had to hit her marked target for it to always work.. the 20/20/20 attributes are nice but maybe when she calls a target a [T] could pop up or maybe a bit more indication.
WiK has been a bit confusing overall its just another thing we put up with ^^
