Best skin for a bow by far /signed

Making it moddable would be acceptable ONLY if they also rise it's requirements to 20 Marksmanship - that would make a lot of sense and Keiran wouldn't 'need' to swap to other bows while doing his missions.

Oh and for those who bring the BMP here, that's absolutely terribad design and a huge mistake that should never be repeated. I'll also never support selling weapons for real $$$. If you want to see a correct way of giving free weapons see for example the Costume Brawl freebies or Burol Ironfist's ones.

You completely misunderstood the entire purpose of this thread.

This is for a q9 max Ithas Bow skin that the player can customize or a green, unique bow with the skin instead after completing HotN content.

This is not about modding the bow for personal use in the HotN mini missions. Those are outstandingly easy.

This is for personal use outside the HotN content as enjoyed by the player in general PvE or PvP.

They should do this with all those types of weapons.

So, looks like they gave us what we wanted. . . except they didn't?!! Does anyone understand why they gave us a moddable, inscribable Kieran's bow but changed the skin?

It's called a compromise. We get the Inscribable green bow. They change the skin. Nothing says, "Happy Wintersday!" more than a new paragon hero that comes with a...bow!

**Side note** I did all of the Wedding stuff and it was awesome, and all of the things that the NPC's say are amazing! Vael is my favorite. Thanks ANet. When you come through, you come through in spades

It's not a compromise. I have a lot of inscribable bows. A compromise would be a nonmoddable green ithas bow with decent stats.

Either that or you know, give us an actual moddable Kieran's bow (ithas skin). Why does his bow change to some other one? If he's not a ranger anymore, why can't we have his Ithas bow moddable?

I didn't even notice he came with his "bow" until now. I've never even added Hayda to my party, so I doubt Kieran will see much use. And since my ranger heroes already have perfect green or gold bows, he can keep it.

Regardless, I'm a little disapponted it wasn't the Ithas bow skin, I hadn't seen one of those in years and it really brought me back.

At least he got to keep his pants.

I have no idea why they made kieran's ithas bow an unmodable, no stat green... I mean to even get to the hearts of the north you have to slog through minimum 2 campaigns, the WiK stuff, and i think zinn's trial which may or may not need the 3 other campaigns(i can't recall). So at this point if you haven't encountered a max bow, beign handed a freebie is no big deal.

the one Gwen hands you should have been a customized inscribable BLUE(not gold or green) like the BMP items. I still toodle around with Turai's Sword(really one of the more badass swords) and the shield if I'm using tactics and use saul's staff for some smiting.

No idea why it's unmoddable, green and no inscription slot... I get they may want to preserve the "integrity" of the pre-order bow skin, and maybe they shouldn't have used that skin(or made a new bow just for kieran) but even if they didn't use THAT skin, it should have been a customized moddable blue(or if green, like the one that comes with hero kieran).
