Keiran's Bow Change

IMO it should be blue inscribable/customized like the bonus mission pack -- Togo's Staff & Turai's Sword, since they were using the same idea anyway.

Not sure if a green can be modded, gold if not.
Available once you complete quest chain seems a little bit more fair.
If you don't have a max bow after BLA then well.. Don't see why it isn't moddable anyways.

In a way the WIK weapons are "free" since we get the medals for doing the quests required to start HotN (not to mention i think you have to complete prophecies and Eotn) so as people said, you should really have a ton of maxbows by then, this is only a question about being able to use the bow as anything other than a key to enter the missions ( its sort of like making some elite armor unupgradeable with an insignia ).

theres no way to get a useable bow with this amazing skin (i bet they could make a trader craft it for 100 globs and shards and some people would still buy it :P)

I was unhappy to find it unmodable so yeah /signed (make it like the bmp stuff said by dracolysis....no idea why they did NOT do this in the first place!)

/signed to making it customised and customisable (mods and dye) in exactly the same way as BMP weapons. As it stands it's a useless item once the quest line is done, as it has no mods and can't be modded.

If you've got an uncustomised Ithas skinned bow, max & inscribable, for sale we should have a talk.

Change it to inscribable and dyable so I can have another skin I like, hell make an npc that'll charge for the priviledge if you want, just give me it

...I'm guessing that you didn't notice that swapping to a different bow in the mission doesn't give you the new bow's stats. Keiran will always have 600 health and 25 energy.

Also, this thread is about making the bow a viable weapon to use outside of the keiran missions.

I'd like it if we could also mod it's color too maybe, but either way just for the skin itself it'd be really nice!

All other mods work, certainly vampiric and zealous mods at least. Keiran's health, energy and attributes are set by the disguise effect, even when you're sufferring from weakness your attributes stay at 20.

Anyways, I reckon a customisable version would work as a reward for completing all the content. An option to have it as any bowtype instead of recurve would be nice too.

^this. you can dupe the item. Free items for heroes on your whole account isn't a good idea for the bow market. If you want a gold, max, inscribable bow, do the BMP quests.

Guess it'd be nice. Just have kieren give you a gold one for helping him get with gwen once the quests are over. No mods but with an inscription slot then you have to add 3 of your own mods (inscription, string, grip) to it. So not like you're getting a bunch of perfect bows (though you should have plenty already). As for hero gear, you already get that. Think it was part of the glacial blade lot. So you already got max bows on demand anyway. Or put it on a crafter somewhere. Its about the skin, not getting a fully modded bow. Well, for me anyway.

I think keiran's bow has a hidden mod that halves his skill recharge. I've noticed while doing the mini-missions that Keiran's skills will sometimes randomly have their recharge halved. I've run entire missions with different bows and they never get halved.

However, this doesn't seem to translate outside of the missions. After 3 hours of testing with his bow, haven't had a skill recharge halved.

.........................How would that cause a noticable dent in the bow market? It would result in being a common skin since it would be easy to obtain, and the exspensive bows would still remain exspensive.

I'm probably the only person with a decent pile of bows lying around, and 99% of them I had to farm myself. People don't really collect and sell bows.

I imagine players will be clamoring for new weapons in Winds of Change. Perhaps Keiran's Bow could be used as a commemorative weapon in that content?

Sword, strenght shield, channeling staff and smiting staff. All unlimited and for free for those that have the BMP.

And for a market to exist, you need a market system.

Do you really think every single player spams in kamadan or registers in auction sites? No, they don't.
GW doesn't have a market system. It needs one, it will probably never have one, but it still lacks it.
