I think I'm in agreement with Jazilla. Seems a bit weird that they would have this exclusive interview and already know all about Wintersday 2010, when the GW site itself has no information yet.

And then post a link to GW, that doesn't even exist. Seems sketchy to me, but we'll wait and see.

Edit: If indeed it is true, can't wait to see Melandru and Balthazar costumes!

I'm also glad that confirms there will be some new quests, wonder what the replacment for wintersday cheer will be?

Let the haters hate about costumes , i personally dont think this should effect the rest of the content.

edit:: Maybe theyre just updating the main gw site now, and ofcourse the people at that site had their own deadline and probably couldn't wait to post the information. Seems Anet have just updated the log in announcment to include the usual offers of 50% off, in this case EOTN and they heavily mention buyin it for the HOM

Sounds legit to me - possibly just because it is what I was hoping to hear...

I cant find the quote, but it has been said that some others besides Dwayna and Grenth are getting involved in Wintersday this year. It wasnt clear if they meant other gods or not. But it would be neat to eventually have costumes representing all the gods. I'll believe it when I see it though.

It's not an exclusive, they are just a little early. The official site probably won't be updated until tomorrow when the event goes live.

So... any clue on alignment, or did I miss it? Do we have a "We Haz Realms" team versus a "We Haz B00bslol" team? Or a "Team Justice" of Dwayna and Balthazar?

That explains a lot. I recall seeing that artwork among others, with the Dwayna and Grenth ones. These costumes have probably been in the pipeline for awhile.

On a slightly related note... they mentioned trying to get the Dervish update out before the year is up. And yet with Wintersday, I don't see that happening. I don't want to be "that guy" but what gives? 7 months not good enough Anet?

I think the concept art makes it pretty clear. Balthazar is in furs for winter, Melandru is wearing a loose spring wrappings. Plus Melandru always had a better claim on spring than Dwyana.

And standing around and yelling at people to jump on their rings is the only thing the gods ever do during wintersday, so yeah, Kormir would be in her element.

Odd that there was no information embargo there. Especially with an official link that doesn't exist yet.
