Hey all,

I recently got another item I'd been looking for over years, a Q9 20/+5e Platinum Wand. With that, my collection for fire wands is basically complete (don't have every skin 20/X, but I have the ones I actually like!) In addition, earlier last month I finished my 20/20 Fire Staff collection by obtaining a Dragon Staff (although I sold a number of staves to afford it !)

Because this coincided with Guru's last days, I wanted to post my full collection, as well as some of the side project I've been working on recently. I'm going to miss this forum a lot; it was a great place where I met an enormous amount of awesome people and friends.

NOTE: Some items from one section will be re-posts from other sections!

20/10 and 20/20 Fire Staves

NOTE: The Air Staff is Lightning Spire skin, my favorite!

The Dragon's Breath 20/20 Air is one of my favorites.

Offhands

Heartbreakers:
These are items that make you do a double take--a one off dmg weapon, a 20 / 20 Mix Mod. These ones really break your heart, hence the name!

Warrior:
I haven't really ever played my warrior until now, even though I made him back when game came out. I've been interested in getting a small collection for him, mostly Q9 Hammers; so far, Twin is my favorite.

Just a small part of my Necro Pre Nerf Staff collection. 49 Pre Nerf Staffs are part of my collection. Not all staffs are max dmg, dualmod or 10/10.

But still 2 skins are missing to finish my collection with at least 1 Staff of each possible Staff with Necro Attribute. (Outcast & Dragon Staff)

IIRC Luny used to collect naked weapons, But afaik stopped playing quite some time ago.. look up the name on guru, should have posted the collection somewhere.

Luny did have a modest collection of clean items, but bacon was actually the previous king of clean. He passed that on to Zeph.

Thx Stuey. Yeah something I got into in pre when max pre weapons were hard to find. I have quite a horde built up now in both post & pre but nothing like the amazing collections posted here.

You are all forgetting Fallenangel ^^ He also had a massive collection of clean items (sadly the pictures isn't working any longer, just checked) but he did post it in this thread somewhere around 2011

I also recall him selling the best ones (the q8's) here on guru along with some customized items such as uncond long sword (not his) at some point? Correct me if I'm wrong ^.^

As we say goodbye to our beloved guidwarsguru, I thought it might be appropriate to post my sword collection in its entirety as my final entry here. I retired from active trading a while ago, and as I have said previously, I do not think I will be able to surpass my own achievements, so for me this is as good as it gets.

I haven't posted all my swords in one post before, so here you go:

Unbelievable stuff really. Love it.

I must say that the Celestials in the PhD GH are a mighty popular place for photo ops, although I've always been partial to the Dragon for obvious reasons :P

Phoenix is awesome too, really works for GWGs last moments, it will rise again from the ashes.

After a long hunt for some neat Flamberges, today I was finally able to buy the best of the best. I am very happy I was able to snag it and post it here where it belongs before it is lost forever. Thanks to all who sold me these, especially Mai for finding my long lost 15^50 child.

Well, what do I say? I make my first visit in a few months and find that GWG is shutting down. An abundance of memories are stored within the chambers of GWG and will be lost forever. Although I don't log in game or on here enough it will still be painful letting this site go. Kinda bittersweet emotions. Ah, well what the heck. I was going to try to find some time and take screens of the rest of my collection, but I guess one storage tab will do since GWG is closing...

I don't care if someone customizes stuff or not. Some items I don't plan on selling. I'm keeping them. It's dumb not to customize. No disrespect - that is tossing a nice item around from person to person.

I like to move my few wonders around from character to character (and some from account to account)...so if I were to customize them I would not be able to do that (I have loads of characters of the same profession <---alt-a-holic), but I understand why some do it and why some dont.

I meant when the items get sold over and over and over again. Which has happened with many nice items. Some people have bought and sold the same item many times. :P

Ultimately it's in their possession, they can do what they want and good for them. No need to make it sound like one or the other is more "respectful" or "manly".....

Well, I didn't mean to start a debate over customizing. I definitely do have an opinion on it, though.

I think trading and collecting are two different things. Obviously, customizing means no trading, but that doesn't mean that not customizing indicates an intention to trade. By the way, no need to make trading sound "disrespectful"...business is business and without trading it would be even harder to do any collecting. This is true of collecting in both the game and in real life.0

I don't customize my treasures (which, as many of you know, I have no intention to sell) because it's the item that is being celebrated, not the fact that I own it. Does that leave my treasures as potential targets for hackers? Yes, but with great goodies comes great responsibility. Use mules. Don't be a tool with your login info. Change your password every so often. And so on.

There's a lot more to say about this, but I think it's an unnecessary distraction. I'm not trying to convince anyone to do anything, but I will go on preserving the treasures I own in their pristine state because I believe they deserve it.
