Guild Wars wishlist 2011

Winds of Change and Guild Wars 2. And some more nifty skill balance.

7 heroes, nothing more, nothing less.
MagnumShadow
Winds of Change and Menzies as the end boss in FoW

My wishlist-
.Another Design a Weapon contest (or make glacial blade into Glacial Blades for assassins that are inscribable and moddable, hopefully including the dagger tang )
.A huge change to eles adressing damage output in hardmode, making primary attribute more useful, and making water magic more useful in pve.
.Reduce recharges of most of the assassin shadow step skills in pve and remove their disabling effects and also remove the disabling effect of Deadly paradox and reduce it's energy cost to 10 and give Shadow Form an entirely new functionality that makes it much less useful for farming but fun for general use.

An update for a class is not necessarily a fix for a class (paragons got an update the same time rits did, for example). We won't know if the dervish update will actually help the dervish until it either goes live or we at least see a preview. That's why my wish list has "fixes" instead of "updates".

That characters on your account can re-customize a customized item from other characters on your account.
(I have some customized items now that i want other characters on my account to be able to use).
OR, have removed the character name from a customized item and that evry character on yer account (except PvP and Pre ofcourse) can use the customized item. An account wide customization.
The Xunlai belt pouch as has been suggested in Sardelac.
All my main toons already have the exact same stackable items in their belt bouches.
Better drops from bosses. Prolly not posible, but no loot scaling for bosses then.
A tome trader (not a zcoins one)
More levels for LDoA title. I'll prolly nvr reach lvl20 in pre (with my toon there).
That GW Beyond content can be skipped/avoided COMPLETELY if u dont want it (yet).
Wasn't amused that when i finished EotN i had White Mantle/Peacekeepers spawns in Kryta. I mainly did WiK to get rid of them.
That more mini's make sound(s). Only a few do now i think it is.
Fix the wolf pet howl sound and animation, they r not in sync (to me at least it doesnt seem to be).

What's all this crap about 7 heroes? Do you guys want to destroy the little difficulty this game has left completely? 4 Heroes is already a lot, and as for WiK being too hard, it's a multiplayer game ffs, take friends or something, and I perfectly managed to do entire of WiK with only heroes and lvl10 henchies, and I was an ele for crying out loud, so my damage sucked too..
No, I think 7 heroes will destroy the little bit that is left over from this game completely...

Chaos armor. All the things the OP said. A simple 10 second cooldown on Shadow Form where it is disabled no matter what for 10 seconds. The full hero party is going to be fantastic. Embark Beach will be great. The Dervish update. For the love of Pete we need new weapons in dungeons like Vloxen Excavations and Sepulchre of Dragrimmar. I am stoked for the WoC as well.

don't put difficulty in the same sentence with pve. use brains versus brawn instead.
edit: other than that, I am excited of what GW2 will have to offer and the LT has in store for us.

Energy storage would be cool if it gave you 5% increased damage per point in energy storage when your energy is above 80% then 3% increased damage per point when you're above 50% energy and finally 2% increased damage per point in energy storage when above 20% energy.
It would be an interesting change to damage done in HM. How it would effect NM though is another thing.

I actually like the idea if linking CS only to daggers. A scythe or a hammer just doesn't fit the whole assassin idea (of being stealthy and what not) very well. Sure, WotM would need some reworking, but this change is very much needed.

What difficulty? This is about fun, difficulty died a long time ago, and won't be resurrected. I'm comfortable playing without gimmicks and burning through consumables, but those are apparently bolted in place, so there's no point in obstructing this idea.

I mostly just want to see some attention paid to the Canthan festivals. Aside from some minor changes to the Dragon Festival after the first time it was run, they've been more or less unchanged since they were first implemented. A different hat for the Canthan New Year would be nice. And I'd like if they lasted longer.
A new Canthan festival would be nice, too. I'd like to see the entire Harvest Ceremony.

** GW2 beta AND release is definately the top of 2011 wishlist.
As for GW1:
* Serious update reviving HA (new maps, gamemodes, major rebalancing, new special rewards for both: low level and top level play).
* New or even revived old playable repeatable PvE content with actually exciting drops (instead of more-of-the-same all over again). Hint: the Mausoleum drops were the most exciting things since maybe Factions release - a huge variety of viable possibilities with NO insta-perfection is the way to go! (No more inscriptions please. I sooo much loved being so excited about drops that were FAR from perfection yet still usable, it was like 2005 again). There's much that can be added and improved instead of just repeating insc crap, it doesn't have to be imba, just different, new functionality. It's also a great shame that many of the finest weapons in the game are those that cannot drop anymore for many years...
* Embark Beach coming as soon as possible and being fully functional for patying up for all kinds of content, not just missions.
* 7 heroes NOT getting implemented (at least not before GW2 release)
* Also I can keep hopelessly wishing for a nice automated trading system (AH/Marketplace) for the 6th year now...

The ability to mod weapons makes the game better for the average player. Non-inscribables are only good for nostalgia, and they should have been eliminated long ago.

Lol! And I'm guessing you'd like to see a cutscene from their honeymoon too? (that's how you write honeymoon, right?)
Actually, not such a bad idea xD
I love you Yawg, at least someone who agrees with me..
Indeed, uniscr are nostalgic for us long time players, but it's also better, since it has this touch to it.. Getting what you wanted was hard, required hunting down your item and fighting someone for it with a bidwar.. Ok, inscriptions have their use for the casual, poor player, but if everything had been uniscr, there would've been 15^50's everywhere, and 15^50 weapons would also be worth 5-10k as all inscribable items are now (except for the rare skins)
And, removing unisncr items? That's the worst idea I've heard. There are things that uniscr items can do that inscr can't (Shields: +10vs X and -2^ench for example, the best combination there is for perma's)
And, removing them would also destroy the little rarity any item has/had completely.. At least leave the rare and beautiful canthan skins as they are, uniscr for life.. You already took our celestial weapons, if you make outcast shields inscribable I'll start crying I think...
As for the 7 hero update, I am completely against it, but implementing it after GW2 comes out actually is a pretty neat idea, since they playerbase will be decimated, leaving some old-timers like me coming back every month or so out of nostalgia.. And you'd need 7 heroes for some of the things then..
Oh, update: making r8 max possible on every weapon again, not just swords, foci and shields... And Anet can tell me as many times they want that every weapon is possible to drop max q8, but that's utter and complete bullshit..
It's one of my most exciting things to do in DoA atm, checking every sword/shield/focus to see if it's q8 max, and if it doesn't belong to me, hope that the one it belongs to doesn't check it, and I can loot it 10mins later/after the run :P

Let's see:
1-White Mantle and Peacekeepers that are affected by poisoned water in Kryta.
2-Unnerf the Pet Corpse nerf.
3-Increase the drop rate of MPB (or #12).
4-In fact, give better odds of getting green drops when in a full party as opposed to solo or less than max party farmers, since greens are exempt from loot scaling.
5-Better rewards for Sorrow Furnace.
6-Easy Mode for Elite Areas, Dungeons, and the more difficult Quests/Missions (like BLA).
7-Traders/Merchants for Inscriptions
8-Allow the weapon customizer NPC to also adjust stats on weapons when customized
9-Change the stats on the original pre-sear items to be max and finally usuable at L20
10-Festival traders carry all the old headgear skins for those people that missed passed events, and make the Day of the Tengu an annual event.
11-Separate PvP titles for JQ and FA.
12-Trader that hands out mini-pets for zcoins.

Oh, and make it elite again, cause I did it HM, and you can let 1 fart and everything practically drops dead..
Sort of agree on #10, ok, I'd like it, because back in '06 I didn't have Proph nor NF so I missed out on both Halloween and Christmas back then, while those were the best hats there were.. But I can see why they wouldn't do it.. I say, if your charr/acc is old enough, you should be able to get them imo^^

#6 made me lol.. Easymode? I thought HM already was easymode.. Elite isn't what it's used to be dude.. Easymode would mean a lvl10 charr with 5 skills could solo it, cause we're nearing that point.. If you can practically h/h everything in the game, there is practically a negative difficulty curve.. (yes, you can do DoA with heroes, UW too, someone did it HM. Deep, someone did with himself and 4 heroes, so...)
#7 Could work, but I wouldn't like it.. Well, sorta, but meh.. Doesn't feel right..
#11 Is a bad idea, because then PvP'ers would say they couldn't get lux/kurz fact anymore.. AB, but AB is dead lol..
#12 Depending on what pets you're aiming at..
To make an addition to your Sorrow's furnace thing, I'd like to see some kind of torment-ish weapons dropping there, with a similar system to DoA now.. No endchest that COULD drop it, but could also drop complete shait.. Nah, work for your stuff I say..
That would make Prophecies appealing again.. And not only for WiK..

-Balanced groups in RA. I know it's random, but we all know how lame it is to play against a team with 4 monks that do no dmg and won't /resign, while some teams could actually use that monk
-Nerf Wastrels Worry. I don't mind the skill but I get sick of seeing it spammed.
-Remove JQ or at least add another decent form of Luxon/Kurzick farming for PvP. JQ is basically made for idiots that don't PvP but nuke a retarded group of NPCs.
-Add dungeons to Nightfall and Cantha.
-Add more rewards in the HoM for GW2 (I'm sure this will happen, since 30 is the highest you can go for items)
-Add a Dynamic Event system into GW1 as a test for GW2. Make an outpost that constantly is being under attack and EVERYONE in the outpost must defend it. Or just add an outpost that has no parties but an "enter battle" option in which it counts down and puts you in a random group of 10 against waves of monsters and bosses. Completing the mission gives you reputation with the owners of the town (preferably just add it to LA, so that it's active and if players get bored they can just click and have fun, and also adds to the "War in Kryta" theme.
-Add professions. I consider the current "professions" to be classes. I'm talking about giving us mining, smithing, something that we can do besides combat all day long and it can also put certain materials to better use in which can help the economy and give players a better understanding of making money.
-Release GW2. IGN says November 2nd. I hope they're wrong.
The main thing that sucks is it seems the only popular spots for PvP are RA and JQ, and both are filled with morons. I hardly see people recruiting for GvG (or attempting GvG) or people doing HA anymore. Guild Wars has become a PvE game.
