Of course I don't believe this in the least because these are always the childish remarks of those that haven't ever played WOW and only use it to futher their own agenda's in cutting WOW down. Plus it doesn't even matter because it doesn't take away that WOW is the single most successful MMO out there bar none. It makes the most money, has the most subscribers that DO PAY $15 a month and will continue to be successful in the future as Guild Wars dwindles away just as soon as Guild Wars 2 comes out. So you can laugh (at yourself) all you want to but you'll never take away the FACTS of how SUCCESSFUL WOW is and continue to be. WOW is KING of the MMO's, while Guild Wars will just be a fly in the night in comparison.

Is it really so difficult for you to accept that not every person likes or enjoys the same things? Do you not think that if we LIKED WoW, we'd be playing it? That we'd be spending our money on it, instead?
I remember when Blizzard first launched Warcraft. I didn't like it, either. I am a huge fan of Diablo however, and provided they don't try and turn it into a WoW clone, I will happily hand my money over to Blizzard later this year to snag a copy of DIII the instant it hits the shelves. My husband, best friend and I have been waiting for DIII ever since we finished LOD - which was about a week after it was released. I think we slept about 10 hours that week, total. We took
vacation time to coincide with the release so we'd be free to play at our leisure. It was awesome! We love the Diablo franchise so much we've bought multiple copies of the battle chest so as to ensure that we're never without functional copies.
That doesn't mean I'm willing to sink a dime into their other title... WoW is simply not for me. My best friend plays it still, primarily because he feels obligated to keep up with it for the sake of our other friend who is his guild leader. He's fallen pretty far behind because he's been sucked into Fallout:LV since he got it for Christmas... and because he's been off playing GW with me. ;-)
My husband spent two days playing WoW and said, "this utterly sucks, I'm done." It didn't suit him. He also plays GW.
I don't like MMO's where other players can impact my game progress whether I want them to or not the way they can in WoW. That's why I never played the Ladders in Diablo... hubby, best friend and I played LAN with each other. I do not want to be forced to play with other people who can screw me over and influence my progress, my rewards, my goals. I will not play GW2 if I find that their dynamic environments keep me from moving forward because another player decides to be a slime bag and mess up my kill. I don't do PvP in GW for the same reason... I don't want to HAVE to play with or against others unless I choose to. It sounds like ANet has figured out a way to have an MMO environment with dynamic global events - without the negative crap WoW has of people stealing a kill, stealing drops, etc. I hope so, or I won't be buying GW2.
You talk about a supposed agenda... yet we're not the ones visiting a fansite for another game, telling those players how much their game sucks, and trying to convince them that they should sink their money into a game they've said they're not interested in.
This is a GW fansite... not a WoW fansite. Why do you feel the need to convince us that your favorite game should be everyone's favorite game? It really is ok for us to like different things, you know... the world won't end because of it, honest.
