A lot of us are in this situation: having had a main for 4/5+ years, we finally get the chance to attain Survivor. However, we've played those 4/5+ years safe in the knowledge that not dying isn't too much of a problem, we'll just res and add another +1 to our already burgeoning death total (im at 5.5k!).
However, with the ability to now attain Survivor on all our pre-survivor characters, we will now have to change our ways if we want to achieve what we originally thought unachievable.
How will your playstyle change? Will you still be vanquishing, gallavanting around in hard mode missions and elite areas? Or will you take your cherished main and head to the boxing arena like every other potential Legendary Survivor - can you live with the shame?

If I had never had survivor, I'm not sure how much my style would change. If I wanted to get Legendary Survivor, I would probably do that on one character at a time. And just do things without other players until I got it. Otherwise, if I'm playing with other people, I wouldn't freak out if I died because the knowledge that the title will always be available to me will put me at ease.
Yeah - its nice knowing that if you pluck it up then you can always just start again. I did the vanquish last night (granted it was only Jaya Bluffs) and after I came out the other side I had 30k experience (the first bug fix after the main update disconnected me just before the final enemy so I had to run it again!). I could live with doing a vanquish every so often and completing a few Zaishen Missions each week and getting Legendary Survivor in about 4 months or something. Wouldn't be too hard.
Its going to be particularly easy with 7 heroes at my back.

This is the kind of attitude I was looking for! You'd never catch a newly made (from level 0) character heading to FoW to get the title. I say, Bravo to you Sir - Bravo!

I'm certainly not giving up HM events with my guild for the title. I'll still be out there Vanquishing, exploring UW, Urgoz, DOA and other areas. I'll probably take the "one at a time approach" and be a bit more cautious with that 1 that is certainly trying to do survivor, but they'll still be joining in on events.
I'll probably do the FoW as well. It's the easiest elite area and one that I've completed many many times with 6 heroes (from an alt acct) without dying.
No, i won't be buying hammers or boxing.

Not a lot of options right now. Capped all skills, vanquished every area and every mission... And I'm supposed not to charge into every mob in compass range while doing this! So boring
In any case, I'll probably mix kath hammers with brawling, some other safe quests and maybe I can find something to farm with my ranger. After which I can send my ranger into retirement once more. So yes, I'll probably change my play style... for a few days.

I did do FoW last night though with 7 heroes. My build crushed it... now my /deaths is about 110k since last death
. I'll probably do the quick farm just to get it over with and move on, though as fast as 100k experience went by in FoW (took me a little over an hour and a half, and I forgot some stuff since I hadn't been in a while), I might consider doing it again.
