What the friends list seems to be doing is following the mechanics of some of the newer MMO's, or at least newer ones that I've played.
Simply put: If two people both have each other as friends, they can look at where exactly both of them are.
If the friendship is "one-sided", you CANNOT see where that person on your friends list is.
It's a nice feature. Shame it made it into the game this late though.

It would be intresting if "Flux" was like in Left 4 Dead. Things like less healing from heal spells, more melee damage, etc. Would really shake things up.

The in store sale has me excited. I've been toying with the idea of buying a character slot for a female elementalist (that I will model after Herta) and a mercenary slot so I can finally have a female hero instead of milquetoast Sousuke, arrogant Zhed, or smart-ass Vekk.

Stalker mode seems like it should be for guilds only. You meet really random people in Guild Wars, and friend them, but it doesn't mean either party was comfortable with the tailing feature. If they want to do something they can PM each other.

All it means is that if you friend Bob and Bob friends you, when you look at your friends list it will say "Bob (in Ascalon City)". Similarly, if Bob looks at his friends list it will say "Ghull Ka (in Hells Precipice). "
If you don't want Bob to know where you are, simply defriend him (temporarily or permanently).
Bob's friends will not be able to see where you are unless you friend them and they friend you.
