Continuing GW1 Players

Well, i didn't wanna post this in Riverside after reading the few latest threads over there so...

How many of u ppl are actually planning on continuing on whatever gw1 things u got going on?
personally i really wanna get my treasure hunter title maxed so i'll be here a only a few thousand more keys. (hopefully by my calculations i could be done before gw2 release) but i also don't plan on buying gw2 until i get ahold of some exclusive content for buying ie. limited editions or what have u. ....or until i'm tired of waiting. But just curious because(and this is why this thread is relevant in traders outpost) i don't want a bunch of dillweeds to trade with, to make profit on the support of my key fetish atm.

Done personally prettymuch all ive wanted.. so well will be just hanging abit more and gonna be really busy soon with life so wont have time for any gaming

I just plan on finishing treasure hunter title then I'm considering myself done after that I honestly haven't decided whether to get gw2 so maybe I'll come back to gw1 once in a while and reminisce on the fun but thats about it.

I have no plans on playing gw2 (everything I LIKE about gw they have ditched and somethings I can handle in video games they have added)...so I will still be playing gw until I either finish everything (all my titles--treasure, wisdom, lucky, unlucky, kurzick and luxon are still on my list)...and get all my character thru everything...so it 'twill be quite some time.

On topic: i have around 16 months of gw just finished with HoM but i hope ill have time to save some cash, ectos just for the daily use , and i really hope to get into some PvP

i cant wait for gw2 and after seeing trailers and 1hour gameplay and all that i wanna finish my HOM really badly just have bad funds XD but atleast iv started it

I'm gonne start writing novels after gw, will be a productive use of my free time.
It's gonne be lots of fun to put my mind on paper!
So ye, maybe I'll have time for gw1, if not then at least I had a nice time during my period of gaming.

I'm working on finishing up my 50/50 and after that maybeeeee get into some PvP, but it will probably be in the sparest of my spare times.

very interesting to hear that alot of u aren't gunna be getting GW2. i haven't quite decided. ive talked like i am, but really haven't decided. the only decision i've made is that i Wont be getting it unless i can get ahold of some special order with exclusive content. that would entice me. but nothing has been released of such versions....
As for greed. for me i wouldn't consider my self greedy for ectos. but, being that the only thing i want to do with this game now is max treasure. i wouldn't have the funds to do that if there is no market to sel the stuph i get as drops post gw2. thats my only concern really :/

Well for me buying gw2 or not completely depends on wether ive got time or not

I wanna play during release, so if i dont have time play during it i probably wont get it

I'm not sure yet.. From what I've seen I'd like to play it, but a part of me doesn't want to play it as well..

I'll continue to max my treasure, Lucky and Wisdom, and after that I'll get GWAMM on my ssin -maybe- until then, I'm happy with the GWAMM on my ele^^

Honestly I'm highly skeptical about there actually being true rares in the game. It seems to be a thing of the "old days", like Anarchy Online, GW, DaOC and shit. Pre WoW launch stuff

I really hope they actually bother having a relatively random drop system but I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped it.

i personally dont think that the things that happend in the beginning of gw1, the complete changing of keyless chests to key chests or the weapons from beta/ only few months of play then getting removed and so on..., are going to happen with gw2. not even in a resemblance. to me it seems clear that they want a completely different game. ncsoft has come a Long way since 2005, and they would now know what not to do. now i could be way off with my theory, and i in a way hope i am. maybe they are just a bunch of supercool doods and doodettes who like making things interesting :P

I know it probably won't happen, and that they learned from their 'mistakes' they made at the beginning of gw1, but I surely hope that they didn't..

Most certainly not, if they were, they wouldn't have nerfed the Mausoleum...

I wonder what market prices will be like in G.W 1 after the release off G.W 2?
Will popular itmes go up in price because less people farming them or will they drop in price because by the time G.W 2 is out people should have all cool items they wanted (less demand) + I am sure there will be plenty off cool stuff floating the market as folk close down there G.W account for the G.W 2 transition. I know that I will be handing all my stuff out for free when the time comes.

I'm spending most of my GW time alternating between whatever the Zaishen objective are for the day for my secondary (as opposed to primary and virtual mules) characters on my main account, and just tooling around with new characters on my other account.

tgh: one bit of advice -- the exclusive 'content' will almost certainly only be available on things like pre-orders and limited collector's edition sets. Thinks like Divine Aura and Coke items were only available at the very beginning, not later on. So you might want to rethink your justification on holding off on buying GW2.

i just need VQ titles to finish off GWAMM. so i guess i am here for that atleast. plus i work 6 days a week so i rarely get to get online. so those VQ's will take forever. i would also like to put a polar bear in my HoM with my lonely panda. so that means i gotta sell off my old school items and keep saving up and buying or farming ectos till i have whatever they cost this year. so we will see how things turn out. until then... keep your TV locc'd on this channel for another wonderful edition of, "Spook's going crazy for ectos" lol

And thats what gets people discouraged.....
