@Tzu: thanks! I hope to find loads of inspiration from all of you
And I want to thank everyone once again for letting me use their character(s) for practice and for the comments. However, this weekend while out with some friends we talked and they said something that echoes what Tommy said. " Dude you should take more time on your paintings and see what you can draw, just imagine how they will look".
Right then and there I looked what paintings I have done over the years, and I agree. The ones I spend more time on, look completely different then the ones I do on a whim. I think after awhile I got caught up in looking at ArenaNet artists and other influences, I felt that I needed to compete against them. When I think about it, the only person I should compete against is me and only me. What actually got me drawing was Magic: The Gathering, and at that time I tried so hard to emulate different artists' styles. Back then I understood that I should improve myself and not look at others.
Nevertheless, this does not mean I will stop speed painting :P It's fun and it does help me catch my mistakes. This only means that now I will take a considerable amount of time doing each drawing, sometimes meticulously scanning them.
For TL&DR I'm taking my time drawing
So this is one of my last speed paintings...for a while

Thats a very nice one of Shala, I like how the red and silver on her armour highlight her eyes and lips.
