Bug Fixes Fixed a text bug that incorrectly described the functionality of Saul D'Alessio’s version of Unnatural Signet. Fixed a bug that allowed the Master of Lightning and the Master of Spirits to use the PvE versions of skills in the Isle of the Nameless (PvP). Fixed a bug that caused the Dark Watcher to not use skills. Fixed a bug that allowed players to abandon the quest “Into Chahbek Village.” Fixed a bug that caused Smiter's Boon (PvP) to not double the Divine Favor bonus. Fixed a bug that caused Jungle Strike to incorrectly apply the bonus damage. Fixed a bug that caused Weapon of Shadow to inflict Blindness with all attacks at low attribute ranks. Weapon of Shadow now inflicts Blindness on the next 1...3...3 attacks. |

I...I thought that was part of the nerf to Smiter's Boon. That was unintentional?

I'm just wondering when we're going to see the next phase of WoC. It's been like, a month and a half since the first part launched?

The smiter's boon bug fix made me lol. XD
I appreciate the small bug fixes, but with that skill . . . no one will use the fixed version, so why did they bother?

As for bug fixes, the Dark Watcher uses skills now, so I'm curious what they might be.

Fantastic Update!
This update addresses major issues with the game.
Since I have yet to start the BMP, I happily welcome the Saul fix.
Very proud of ANET, GOOD JOB!

The quest fix was this: you got the quest from Kormir in the explorable area and could then abandon it in Chahbek Village before accepting the reward. This would leave you with no way to reacquire the quest and thus no way to proceed in the main storyline.
They're just fixing easy to fix bugs reported on the forum. I guess the harder ones (FA/JQ etc) take more time.

They're fixing the bugs that can be done easily. Gotta start somewhere. Personally, I'm pretty happy about it - not game-changing, but simple things like this can really polish a game. I'm confident enough that they'll work on the other issues. That forum has brought quite a few fixes in.
DiogoSilva
Yes, since the official forums opened up, there have been a lot of fixes that wereonce ignored/ overlooked, most notable on FA/ JQ. I believe this is slightly independent of whoever is in charge of skill balancing or content designing, so those kind of updates does not means the main designers are wasting their time doing "useless" stuff. (Although unlikely, I might be wrong in this one :P)
Still, I was hoping for some skill updates at this time of the month. Or at least a skill preview of a future update, or something to make us talk about and get excited (or whine about, hehe).

If bugs are being fixed, I'd have hoped that they'd get around to tackling the one bug that has an actual impact on the competitive metagame.

you must wonder what their priorities are when they do these. (gee we have to get SOMEthing out--how about that text bug--should take me, what, a whole minute to fix--yeah, yeah-- at least its something right? right????)
fixing a text bug? is that more important than fixing a skill? or the stupid turtles etc in jq type thing?
I am still waiting for them to fix all the armor glitches that have been around since prophecies--those should be higher up than a text bug--one would think...though certainly not as high up as something like a bugged skill or npc's.....but then again----
we should be grateful for the updates--so ...thank you for continuing to update the game.

There is more to the game than your "competitive metagame". There is no reason for them to put special priority over a bug from one area of the game than from another area. I'm certainly not against your bug being fixed, but I think that the most pressing bugs now are the FA ones.

Progress is progress...just at this rate we're going to be playing GW2 before GW1 becomes polished enough. Meh, the game is still fun. And with so many angles and possibilities with every aspect of the game, we'll probably never see it "polished". But look on the bright side: you can't accidentally screw yourself from completing NF now.
Can't really complain. The game is free to play, and all the developers have moved onto new things like GW2. We get a few new quests and reskinned weapons every few months, and that's really all the development team has the ability to do with their current staff.

People don't use and won't use any of the three skills. People use Mirror of Ice.
Sure, minor bug fixes aren't that important, but that doesn't mean that they're equally unimportant.

First of all, this update shows us one thing: that Anet take the official support forums seriously. The bug fixes were posted there, got noticed, fixed up fast. So, off to support forums you go to report more serious issues
Side note: seems that Anet decided to work on fixing up the minor issues that take little time while to fix compared to the more serious issues. Note that a bug that is easily recognized, the problem identified and easily fixed are one thing, while a complex issue that is hard to even track down, much less resolve elegantly is quite another.

Yes, i'm quite annoyed at the fact that every bug fix they do concern stuff that i actually never noticed... and bugs that i encounter anywhere are still here after 1 year or more... ( i'm pretty sure that's the case for a certain amount of players too)...
Isle of nameless arenas for example : 1 year after, you can still do those 8v4(i reported that bug long time ago too....).. You might tell me " who cares of those arenas?" .. sure but who cares of those bug fixes they did then....
There's also bugs that affect both teams in PvP that are quite annoying ...

Personally I dislike their "solution" to remove Smiter's Boon (PvP), it would have been better they did something like "Enchantment Spell. For 5..30 seconds, your Smiting Prayers skills recharge 0..25% faster."
Don't think that would have been overpowered since the smiting line is rather meh in PvP.

That's probably as far as they can get with bug fixes...
Xsiriss
They blatantly just don't give a s**t now. Either legitimise the 'oh noes we're all super busy on GW2' and give us the beta or actually bother with GW1. Kinda simple.
Shayne Hawke
So, Smiter's Boon (PvP) was actually nerfed to the point where it didn't even do the one thing that it was supposed to do? And it's been like this the whole time? Harsh.

Not in PVE / JQ / FA / AB / RA they dont, which is like the most of the game
Theres absolutely no reason why the part of the game that you play should take a priority over the rest. |
FA's bugs are AI and pathing issues, mostly. Those are much more difficult to fix than fixing a damage type for a single skill. This should not be an issue, stop using every goddamn opportunity to proclaim that GvG is nothing special. It IS special, in that small bugs can have a large impact in that format, and the same cannot be said of any other format (HA, maybe).
Simple fix + large impact = it should be a priority, over anything that is complicated (FA AI) or doesn't have a large impact (all of these bugs). Period. Arguing otherwise is just arguing for the sake of thumbing your nose at GvGers.

On a side note:
-Fixed a bug that caused the Dark Watcher to not use skills.
We did a Slaver's Sc right now.Skills we've observed:
-Tranquil Was Tanasen
-Weapon of Warding
-Channeled Strike
-Shooting Memories
-Ancestor's Rage
The last one proved kinda annoying >_>

This is just RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing pitiful.
Clearly ANet has no priorities of any kind other than to produce WoC which even then does not address anything detrimental to the game and promoting their microtransaction bullshit.
They don't even give news or information- the least common denominator of game balance and maintenance for the game's community

...still doesn't mean it should take priority over the rest. I'm pretty sure that more people play JQ/FA/PvE/everything else than high-end PvP.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against fixing any bug in the game. I just don't like it when people seem to think their format is more deserving of attention than others - especially when their format has a lower population of players than all of the others.

Never noticed one of these bug and smiters boon needs to be reverted back for RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO sake. All I can say is I hope there is a big update besides WoC part 2 that satisfies most of us, but chances are slim.
