OoP is very good, and there are enough support skills in the blood magic line to work with it on a hero. The problem is that it only becomes useful once you add more physical heroes. In my 2 physical and 3 physical physway builds, I use a OoP necro with cultist ferver, dark fury, blood bond (primarily for the minions benefit), and blood rit because its good in any sort of build. For the rest of the skill slots, just choose which other support line that you want to go into. For my physway builds, I generally spec into channeling to get another copy of splinter and maybe another channeling skill like A-rage or warmonger's. Another support line like smite, wind prayers or curses would work too (though I wouldn't recommend running the blood and curse physical support skills on the same bar - the combined casting times are too long and heroes wont use OoP/Dark Fury very often as they tend to prioritize the curses, particularly barbs).

I've also been playing around a little bit with the Barrage/Volley + Splinter combination, especially after seeing some of the what the Peacekeeper Marksmen south of the Temple of Ages could do with it when my party wasn't spread out enough. Here's my current prototype:

For non-mesmer primaries, just drop E-Surge for Panic on the Dom hero and run the build of your choice.

I'll say up front that I really haven't used Ranger or Paragon heroes very much in the past, and I've never tried an Orders build before, so the setup is sort of an experiment for me (I've been trying to take as much advice from this thread as I can). I've been happy with how it's been running thus far, though.

Basic concept: use the Orders Derv to pump damage and adrenaline to the Ranger and Paragon, and health to the party in general. Splinter with Volley and the Para's physical attacks spikes for massive damage and high adrenaline gain, which then fuels GFTE! and Anthem of Envy. These, in turn, pump minion and spirit damage, and boost damage from the Ranger and Paragon further. The minions and ST prots combine well with the Derv's frequent party heals, and since minions cause Shelter and Displacement to expire more quickly, Spirit's Gift becomes a surprisingly effective form of healing and condition removal.

I took it into Ravenheart Gloom NM for a test run (I'm still not very good at running DoA) and everything went perfectly. The mobs melted against my DPS, and I only suffered a single hero death during the entire run. For the most part, my bars hardly budged. It's an encouraging sign for taking on more difficult areas in the future.

A question, though: what kind of bow would be preferable for the Ranger? I've been running a longbow thus far, but I'm not sure if another type would get the job done better.

I'm sure there are still plenty of things to improve upon in the setup (criticism is welcome!), but I hope it's at least of some benefit to the OP.

Scrap SYG on the paragon for a spear attack (to trigger Envy) Also don't take two copies of Envy in the party. Ranger can take something else. I would take Point Blank Shot for a little extra DPS on the ranger, since when it's without Splinter Weapon it'll be quite useless.

Why Dark Bond?
