If you haven't done so yet, go check out how much favor is left. For those of you who are unsure, visit your friendly, helpful zones known as Temple of the Ages, Zin Ku Corridor & Chantry of Secrets.
Better yet, type /favor in game.
... or if you got this far in reading, as of 4:42pm PST (GW time), there is 2664 minutes of favor left. In case you hate math, that's approximately 1.85 days.
Back in April, I remember the favor being well over 30k minutes, but it just caught my attention that our overwhelming number of favor minutes is about to reach zero again!

Well if the timer ever reaches zero and is not going up again, they could (will) remove the favor system entirely I think, so no worries.

I think it would be interesting to see the favor reach zero again. I remember the days when entry into the elite areas without a scroll was somewhat limited.

I remember when Drunkard was changed and the minutes of favor skyrocketed, the prospect of running out of favor kind of worried me. I know there are scrolls, but I like getting shrine blessings. I hope that system will be changed when GW2 comes out, since the chances of having favor will probably be pretty slim then.

I remember when your country had to win enough consecutive battles in the Hall of Heroes to even have favor. Sitting around in ToA, hoping for that last win to get into FoW or UW. Good times.....

Favor should never be "permanent" and from my pov it was a great mistake to let it happen.
Many farming/ skill nerfing related issues would be solved looooong time ago if favor system was the same as it was designed to be...

The old favor system where a nation needed to win 5 consecutive teams in order to (then) open up the only end game areas was very flawed. It resulted in people being locked out of content for weeks at a time, or limited to only a very few minutes late at night.
Now there are many more end game areas to choose from so it's less of an issue that it was.
if people wanted to increase the 'specialness' of going to those areas then either revamp them to make it a lot harder to complete(such as remove the ability to use cons sets) or give better drops to teams that go down and dont use PvE skills or consumables.

I remember when favor was granted by whatever zone had the most wins in HoH... before you were allowed to jump between America/Europe/Asia districts... sometimes it would be whole days before a certain zone had enough wins and people would be massed at ToA just waiting... because scrolls did not exist... then came a time when HA died and favor did not change very often.... Had interesting results on the price of ecto. If favor vanished it would be interesting to see the results on scroll prices.

Favor is a pointless game mechanic. It was dreadful back in the PvP determining it days and pointless in the current era. Just bin it completely, it was an idea 6-7 years ago that just didn't work, time to get rid of it. Especially considering how (relatively) dead the game is now.

Of course I'm not sure what reason for existing the favor mechanic has had for the past 3 years (that was when it was changed right?) or so. Favor clearly was intended to limit access to UW/FoW such that it couldn't be farmed non-stop (oops!), it simply could not be anything else. If favor time goes away this will only affect the least organized. The top speed clears have more scrolls than they know what to do with, lack of favor isn't going to affect them. Everyone else that hasn't been farming it to exhaustion is now going to have to acquire scrolls, which are sure to increase in price, or wait until they can re-enter.

Seeing as buying blessings and/or scrolls for shrine bonuses or entering UW/FoW costs gold, I don't see the additional need of having the favor anyway.
My toons played through all chapters over the last 6.5 years, among which is one GWAMM, so if these gods don't deem me fit for eternal blessings about now, I don't know what will :P
And I think it's safe to say that goes for most players.

Considering how many scrolls are spawned whenever someone kills Dhuum, I don't think people will run into problems when favor runs out. At least, the SC guilds won't.

I'm confused, doesn't the favor just allow you to enter UW etc. through the statues in chantry of secrets for 1k and without favor you have to buy a scroll which is about 1k anyways?

Without favor, scroll prices would likely raise well above 1k. And there is always danger of traders running ouf of scrolls.
Of course, there are people with stacks of them and succesfull run is guaranteed to create 7 extra scrolls, so it might not be as fast.

I also tend to get a few on my raptor runs while farming for other things (though I get FoW scrolls more), so those will also be in the market right now since quite a few people are farming raptors for holiday drops.

Oh favor I forgot that you existed with all the HoM farming. I guess majority of players after 3-6 years have their god titles/ 30 to 50 points.
