a birthday costume would be really nice...dont want any tonics and while I like minis, they seem to have stopped them as bday gifts....
(though would really like another storage pane too---)
What type birthday present would you like for 7th anniversary?

Not sure about a single free costume, I can already see everybody running around with it and all looking the same...what a headache! I know I know not so many have a such old account but still...at some point I see it happening more or less.
Like how?

/agree on the boss glow. Considering we (the player) killed a god, destroyed several races (or at least made them endangered species), toppled nations, and committed any number of lesser grievances (btw, I still laugh over the WoC mission involving the bad guys ranting about the player), a boss glow is well overdue.
Although whatever the 7th year thing is, I agree it needs to be over the top since I'm guessing (hoping?) that this is the last year before GW2 is officially released.

I'd like the following:
- Toymakers:
* They can show them miniatures and they'll either dedicate them for you, or or just unlock them so once you enter the HoM with a character, they'll be added.
* Any miniature dedicated in the HoM is also unlocked for them.
* They can make replicas of any unlocked miniature.
* They can also take away everlasting items tonics and crates, destroying the item in the process. In exchange, they can make replicas.
* Replicas can't be dropped, sold nor traded, and can be made as many times as you want, for 10g each.
* They can exchange 7th birthday present tokens.
- Miniature slot:
* When you put a miniature there, it gets a 'show' icon, so you can show/hide it in town or outpost like costumes and headgear. In outpost they'll try to show as soon as you enter if they are set to 'show'. But there's still the 20 miniature limit.
- 7th birthday present: Birthday Tokens
* A 7th birthday present may be 7 white tokens, 4 purple tokens, 2 gold tokens or a single green token. You can give them to toy makers to unlock any other birthday present you don't have already added to their list. For miniatures and tonics that are not birthday presents, the only way to unlock them is still finding the original.
* They do not stack. This is so they take a lot of space and you use them as soon as possible.
an do whatever you want with that.
The tokens would reappear in subsequent years. This present it's no longer about what you may get, but about getting what you never could before.
That's what I want for the next birthday.

I think and hope that they use this anniversary to prepare for GW2. So an unattended system of b-day gifts would be nice (I like the b-day card system mentioned above, but please give more then one card, like 50, wich you can spend on several things, like a first year white pet, would cost 5 b-cards, an el green tonic would cost you 50 b-cards).
The reason is that it makes you able to get what you really like AND it makes it unattended for the future of the game. |
I like the token choose-your-reward idea.
Just make rewards relevant for 7 year old characters that are getting ready for GW1 sunset (= stuff that helps with titles and hom).
That would include:
* Assortment of minipets
* Possibly hero armor tokens
* Consumable titles consumables and other stuff that helps with grindly titles like xp scrolls, conset consumables, zkeys, summons, consumable items that add to rep titles (and possibly wisdom, lucky, etc...)
* Crafting materials used for prestige armor sets/hom weapons.
* Possibly other tokens to allow lots of diffrent rewards. (zcoins, medals of honor, end-of-game tokens, even armbraces)
Other than that, whatever can be sold to other players for profit would be fine. :-)

hmm, maybe some new gifts with new stuff, i like opening gifts
but then with consumables and some inscribable weapons, maybe party weapons: staff with nice colors and such, lol
maybe a festival hat, a happy birthday hat of course
and maybe such costume, who knows
happy birthday npc for that maybe
hmm, really thinking atm
new bag slot for a normal bag maybe? 7 years old char gets new bag, yay
and maybe in pre you can put in charr bags and in post you can put a normal bag (or charr bag bought/obtained from someone who has it/pre charr) in that spot
maybe just new mini's, every year has some i like myself
thats all i can think off atm

Hmm. I kinda wonder...if a lot of people wouldn't LIKE costumes as BDay gifts. I personally would, but I know a lot of my friends don't particularly like costumes and would rather show their armor. Plus, a lot of people LIKE being able to sell their pressies for profit when they first come out. The boss aura thing would be cool too but poses the same question. I'd personally like either, but I wonder if this is why they stick to tradeable tonics, minis, etc.
