What type birthday present would you like for 7th anniversary?
Mintha Syl
THIS would be funny indeed! Maybe a little more than half and double, as a monk double size would only get to warrior size and vice versa, so not much "wonderland".
=HT=Ingram
I would like to see something I recommended a long time ago... A bound rare weapon that has slightly better then max stats. As a 7 year vet you deserve something useful, but such a weapon should be for YOU and YOU ALONE! Bind that gift to your account. So no trading! The Red Weapons set from Utopia would be a good starting point.

I'd want a special item, that unlocks a 6th monument in your HoM called "Most Beloved".
This will let you add 5 items to your HoM that are available in the game, like:
- a weapon you've used for years
- a collectors item that you kept over the years
- an ecto
- a dye
- a quest reward
- a festival hat
and so on.
The monument will not reward any points towards Guild Wars 2, but those 5 items will be displayed in your home instance as decoration, or displayed in any other way so you can show it to your friends in Guild Wars 2.
Of course this wont happen.....
... so how about some more tonics, or a mini-me (a miniature of the person carrying it)

How about an account locked, non tradable minipet of one of the original Prophecies Henchmen (Aidan, Devona, Eve, Cynn etc) that can also be accessed in GW2 via the linked account/HoM thingy.
A cool reminder of GWs beginnings, and non tradable so no advantage in GW2.

pet tonics....you look like your pet (panda, tiger, crab, stalker, moss spider, wolf etc)...since there is a good chance they are going for tonics again-----

A tome that converts your active elite skill into a non-elite skill
--------------
Or a tome that tweaks your active elite skill a little bit.
'7th year xxx' that lasts longer, doesn't have a negative effect, or has a wider aoe, or recharges quicker, or cost less energy
e.g
7th year barrage that doesn't remove preparations or has a wider aoe
7th year incendiary arrows that hits more than 2 other targets
7th year aura of the lich that gives +2 death magic, or animates slightly stronger minions
7th year panic that lasts longer
7th year xxx blessing with a couple of additional skills in the replacement bar
...etc etc
------------------------
or a skill tome for a unique skill that cannot be gained any other way

I forgot what I posted earlier but I was thinking of something like:
Ranger - bow with a "Burning lasts 33% longer" string
Paragon - spear with a "Shouts last longer" mod
Mesmer/Necro - hexes last longer mod
Elementalist - unconditional spell armor penetration mod
Monk - unconditional +1 energy regen
Warrior - unconditional +20% damage
etc....
Or even just a weapon that adds +2 attribute points to your primary attribute perhaps.

Everlasting Summoning stones of some interesting characters in gw.

All these game play advantage suggestions are garbage. Keep it cosmetic. No special mods, no better-than-max weapons, no fancy skills. Weapon sets, tonics, hell a trade-able summoning stone is fine, but these other ideas are horrible.
Kazsta
This is a 'what would you like to see' thread, it's not as if they would impliment any suggestions that they don't want to impliment. I'm sure at this point they have already decided on the 7th year birthday presents.
Even if they did introduce a slightly better then normal weapon or skill for PVE only what difference does +1 something really make? Especially considering that most people with a 7 year old account will soon enough start playing GW2 instead.
I'd like to see something useful when I log in in a week or two, rather than another pointless EL tonic that I'll just sell.

If they have to do tonics, can we have an Oni tonic please.
Mokeiro
I vote for a Master summoning stone, much in the like pokeball or final fantasy style, weaken an enemy and capture it on your master summoning stone, then you can summon it when you need, summining restrictions may apply.

At this point in the game, does it really matter? It's no different than people burning consumables. Maybe the numbers I posted are too high but I don't see a small PvE bump being game breaking or anything.

Really, keep it just cosmetic as it's always been.

^ what he or she said. We are overpowered enough in game.
Mini hyena would be nice or maybe some of the other pets. I like the mini's more than the tonics to be honest.

Well, whatever it's gonna be if I can stuff it into my HoM: it's great, if not: it sucks.
Not that they can't think of anything nice, but I was seriously bummed after completing year 1-5 mini's the 6th was tonics.

OK what I see is this:
Hero's Band - everlasting consumable, grants a 60 minute buff that gives +1 to all attributes. PVE only.
Mistfire Wolf Summoning Stone - Create a level 20 Mistfire Wolf that follows you around, usable for all levels.
Rytlock mini - a miniature version of a futuristic hero
Golem Banker - summons a Golem that grants you access to your Xunlai Chest, 30 minutes. Consumable. Stack of 50
Chalice of Glory - Grants 2500 Balthazar faction. Consumable. Stack of 50
Tome of Influence - Grants 5000 Kurzick and 5000 Luxon faction. Consumable. Stack of 50.
How about it? That sounds like a good birthday present ???

I always wanted mini pets. Literally miniature versions of pets. I hate the mini toy theme of the normal ones, but the black moa chick and the two rabbits are by far the coolest miniatures in the game. I always wondered why they never had miniature versions of themselves, I always wanted them to turn them into some kind of reward for quests or something in the game, but at this point it'd be cool to see them as miniatures, at least the tiers would be really easy to decide on.
I still care about game balance even with GW2 coming out. It would be funny if they gave GW2 beta keys out to old accounts or ones with a certain number of HoM points (doing it for every game would be millions of keys, which is too much). There's not really a fair way to go about giving them out to GW1 players so I doubt they will do it, but it would be interesting to take the GW1 audience away from the game during it's own birthday. Hopefully if they do a quest or some kind of in game stuff it will run for a full week allowing people in the BWE for GW2 to participate.

I would laugh very hard if there was actually nothing planned except for cupcakes! After all, everyone from the Live Team has jumped on board for GW2. "The Beta Weekend is our gift to all of you!...who bought the game or were randomly selected to participate."

We’re going to be pretty busy, but we will still support the live game with balance updates and bug fixes – there’s also something special planned for our 7th Anniversary. I hope you’re all excited for it, and we’re really looking forward to seeing you all in GW and GW2!

So we will see something. Keep your expectations low though.

Oh and I see all these people saying that after 7 years they deserve something extra special - like why exactly? You could have bought the game and not played it for 6 years, its not like you had to pay a monthly fee to get the "achievement" of playing it (or not) for 7 years .
truOnyx
My 7th year gift gave me a minipet from the 4th year table: Jora. I have one more chance this week at another gift but I was very disappointed it was NOT anything "special" compared to previous years.

Not a troll. I got an Eye of Janthir and a Freezie. Might be that they are recycling the uncommons from previous years...
Hopefully there's a hidden new pet or something like that...
