Think it was mentioned before, but there are many things that are not safe here. Many items can be gotten from items like royal gifts, nick gifts, and such can give you things like full consets, stacks of rock candy, etc. Coffers can give you large quantities of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires as well. All of this would bypass the time consuming process of feeding materials to the traders and rebuying.
Assuming the customized stuff is true, the only thing I can think of that could even show signs of an attempt at tampering is loot drops, and items like HoD swords that can no longer be obtained. Everything that has a source that isn't exclusively tied to random drops is potentially open to abuse. That would include anything dropping out of the z chest because the keys can be duped. I'd think a good portion of the dungeon and FoW/UW drops would be safe though.
Still, we do not know the limitations on this process for certain. One cannot go wrong with simply playing it extremely safe and avoiding all trade with anyone you do know know and trust fully for the time being.

Coming from someone who routinely partook in match manipulation, has had several accounts terminated for botting, as well as recently tried to sell an account and got hardcore scammed, that's a rather ironic statement.
You seem perfectly content to try and cheat the system yourself. There is little, if any, appreciable difference here. All the equivocation and evasion you can muster doesn't change your actions. Go bot your strongboxes, and get played like a harp by scams from people in 'Florida' using prepaid phones.
