Quite honestly I believe they will all become so cheap it won't even matter.

The minis presumably aren't exclusive anymore so there's no point in getting one unless you need it. Just sell or hold Lunar Tokens, or advertise as helping someone get the mini of their choice.

Also I just realized that this is now a free HoM point.

ALL celestial, past current and future....

so I picked up a piggie and a horse (though probably will be around next year to get one then....but---)....will do the gift bags for the snake....

yess....you missed the ALL part of the celestials...ALL 12 not all past, ALL of them that there will be (there is a roster, dog, monkey, sheep? as well as the past ones...so all 12 are available for the 100 lunar tokens/celestial token).

I got lucky this year and got an extra snake one ofter the other. With the token I bought the dog so now all I need is a celestial horse, sheep, monkey and rooster. I plan on seeing if I can trade the snake and throw in an extra undedicated mini to sweeten the deal.

You can still have a racing beetle friend as a ranger pet. I already have one at 20. The interesting thing about it is when they're summoned in the menagerie, you get a selection of styles to choose from. THEN when you zone, you get different colors of that style. You have options to acquire it. I chose the gold zaishen coin plus 100g. Then you go and charm it.

So if I got it right you can only reclaim one mini? I somehow hoped that if I farmed enough tokens I could get all the minis from the years I've been unlucky...I mean, in all those years I only ever found mini in fortunes once, the dragon (last year, right?). So now I'm undecided wether to get the tiger (the one I had tried the most for) or keep for the snake in case I don't get it the normal way....

I spent my gold coin and got the ranger pet, but I had always wanted the greased lightning mini, but alas...with only one functioning eye ....it has been kind of hard to do the racing...I tried, and almost finished, but due to lag --I wond up back about 20 feet when time ran out (my best so far

)....

(and Mintha...its why having additional accounts is nice at these times...I can get the piggie I missed and the horse and still try my luck at opening the fortunes for a snake!)

I've got a little problem with the World-Famous Racing Beetle.
It doesn't add me 1 in my HoM. I'm staying at 104 minis instead of 105

have you tried to reload the hom calculator? (might have a cookie stuck in it), and logging ALL the way out (closing the character screen as well as the log in screen), should work.

coast...go to shing jea for the celestials...talk to ikura (strange name for a kid --it means salmon roe (eggs). (one of my fav sushi toppers)....you need 100 lunar tokens to get the celestial token...then talk to qili for the actual mini (for the bettle--you gotta do the races and get the medals.....ugh).

Yes I tried and nothing changed :/

I was at 101 2 hours ago.
I added the pig, worked fine 102.
Then I added in the same time the rollerbeetle, the snake and wolf.
Appears : 104 instead of 105. 34 gold minis instead of 35. All dedicated.
Then I added the monkey, just to try : 105 instead of 106. Why why why ?

Evil thoughts incoming...I have a friend who doesn't want the mini...plus some account I could "use" for that...

Surely Anet are aware of the multitude of flaws in RBR? Why do they keep promoting so many goodies along with it when it's so poorly designed for the game engine and the outcome is based virtually entirely on the luck of the boxes?

To make it even close to a player-based format they would have to remove rubberbanding, Super Rollerbeetle and collision.

I've counted all of my minis : 107.
In the website: 106.
But there are well 107 minis.

since its a really NEW mini, it is quite possible the HOM doesnt quite understand--especially since others seem to be having issues as well....please submit a ticket to anet so they can...er, uhm...'fix'

and I do believe that the ranger pet will not be removed after the event...so you have time to get a gold coin to get one.

gave away the celestials alrdy, u can still have the beetle after i put in hom, but i wait with that untill they fixed it so my progress isn't RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up.

Watching a few YouTube videos and learning the momentum mechanics takes little effort and can give you enough knowledge that you ought to finish most of your matches, if not place first a few times.

I mean, the only matches I ever manage not to finish are ones where someone gets echo-super, I get no extra speed boosts, and I have about two or three bad KDs.

you forgot the rubberbanding and LAG....take that into account, and you get...NO FINISHES

(and watching vids doesnt help you master the controls--I watched the vid for the bone pits halloween thingy so many times...yet, it doesnt quite work out when I do it--)

so thats easy for you to say, some of us just arent at that level.

For some of us rubberbanding is a constant too. I'm a euro player starting from Euro districts being placed in American maps because the majority of my team happen to be starting in America. There are far too many aspects outwith the players' control for the outcome to be reliant on the players.

Not entirely right. I had a match where i had people spamming spit rocks on me , and where the 1st guy got an echo-super in addition. How is that not luck-relying ?

I am winning all races as well when i'm first from straight, but you do know why : it's because the average player is using his skills on the nearest target. It's not as easy when you got a random ram at begin ( and that's probably why so many top 100 tryhards are stopping when they get kded and change account)..

My point : winning is generally relying on you, but being top( let's say) 50 is pure luck relying

But I never said anything about posting top times. My point was that luck is not the largest factor in winning the game when I am able to finish first in many games in a row and am unable to even finish only in the most extraordinarily rare matches. I would hardly win as often if luck was what I relied upon.

A quick note about the racing beetle ranger pet: No matter which pattern you charm, your pet will always default to the eyeball pattern, though the color will be randomized.

Actually my default pattern is the tiger stripe and the color changes on it.
