Any guilds left to host districts this year?

EDIT: I guess it is being discussed in this thread, but no one has confirmed or claimed a district yet.

The finale being on a weekday is going to make it tough for my guild to host a district like we'd planned. Had it been on a Sunday, like previous years, i'd have been able to be online the whole time and host a district, but work tends to interfere in that regard...

I look forward to hosting Europe - English - District 3 (or 7 if someone already has 3) with my guild Player V Enemies [PvE]

I'm going to be away on business that day but I think my guild might come back from GW2 to host a district at some point.

Ok guys here are my predictions about the 3 new things they are doing this year. 1. Celestial Token. 2. Mystery Prize for Finale and 3. Changes to Rollerbeetle Rewards.

1. Celestial Token possibilities.

a) can only trade it for new celestial snake
or
b) can trade it for current celestial snake or one of the older celestials
or
c) can trade it for any celestial including new ones for years 2014-2018.

I think it will be B, considering Anets record on making older items more obtainable.

2. Mystery Prize for Finale

I think this is where they will give out random new celestial minis 2014-2018 kind of like they did with WG weapons during wintersday finale.

3. Rollerbeet Racing Rewards

a) No zippys, get EL Beetle tonic instead or a completely new item.
or
b) Mini Zippy + EL Beetle
or
c) They extend the Mini Zippy reward to top 200-500 instead of 100.
or
d) They give out double Gamer points

I think the tokens will be for the older celestials since the hat is the same for this festival every year (b), I dont think they are going to give out the last 6 just yet (unless they really really dont give a blink about their player base anylonger).

nothing new for the finale--just more of those stupid summoning stones (think this is 'oooops, we forgot to change the text' type thing).

and rollerbeetle, doubt they are going to give anything to the top 100 people at all--you may just get a rollerbeetle tonic (one use) for coming in the top 3 slots, thus flooding the market in rollerbeetle tonics (a--something else)
double gamer points would be nice for ALL participants--not just those who finish (I rarely finish as it requires both the mouse and keyboard and looking at a few too many things all at the same time).....but again, HIGHLY doubtful they would do this at this time as they didnt nothing of the sort for the last hoilday with gamer points (or the others either).

Hmm yeah I think it's quite possible with Anet that they would say something and not come through with it.


I think it's unlikely they would announce "changes for rollerbeetle rewards" and make them bad changes instead of good changes. But who knows. I don't think many people would be happy with a one time use tonic where mini zippys have been given out in the past :/

Actually they did it for Costume Brawl last year.

hm....forgot about that (didnt get to participate so I guess I didnt realize it).
so...it will probably just be that--double points for rewards. (now I just need someone to come over to my house and show me how to finish those races!)

I'd lean more to B too, seen the trend, but I wouldn't exclude A. After all they're giving old hats cause they're not making new ones, while for celestial minis is different, cause there is a "new" one. So could be just a way to get the snake if you got unlucky.

If there's an icon for it, it's likely coming from the .DAT file, so the item must be in there. Yay!

will need to get my toons over to cantha for some easy starter quests (heck even my mules get to see the light outside shing jea this time of year!)....and my newly added triology characters can get into it as well....I think I need to get some sleep now since I have too many characters that will need to work thru those ....good luck to all!

Almost. There is still an open question as to which minis are available through the token trader.

Should be some interesting trading going on during this festival if people can get the old minis with the tokens. It's the mini pig almost all over again. Couldn't be happier with that.

I will be there as well. I hope there will be some life in EN districts as well and not only in US ones. Unfortunately for me ping I get on US serves prevents me from playing on them at all

I will be very happy to finally get my celestial piggie!! (since my savings is about 10e...not enough for one currently ). Now if they will just give away greased lightnings that would make my day.

I think that there will be a few people playing in the european districts...try the german ones first ----they seem to still be playing the most.

Regarding the tokens for old minis, I was considering which to get.

Pig was my first thought, as they're most expensive, but if everyone else gets that maybe Rat or Ox would be a better choice.

What are your thoughts?
