Lucky you! Happy B'day for two days (three?) time. Yeah I'm contemplating the merits of getting FoW for my ele too. My decision on that was to wait till I saw the new armour in Factions, I'm starting to run desperately low on storage space

He was using IW (Illusionary Weaponry), which makes your weapon glow briefly. Thus the "IW cast emote ftw. xD"

Heh. As an incidental aside, that's a common (if unintentional) failing of Westerners to recognize physical and ethnic differences between Asians. Being Chinese myself, I can spot a Japanese person from miles away. White friends will ask, "How can you tell?" My response? "How can you NOT tell? It's too obvious!"
The Canthan mesmers looked really Japanese to me (albiet some with Chinese hairpieces), BTW, with an odd Korean thrown into the mix.

Yeah, I know Jciardha, but a lot of it was actually more to do with the hair than the faces. Oh, the Japanese are very different from the Chinese but I wouldn't know how to pick a Korean from a Chinese...

This is making me want to play a mesmer...Hmm i know this isnt the best question to ask at this thread BUT..should i make a fire ele or a .... erm.....i dont know any mesmer builds but id like to farm and do FoW/UW most definetly.
Thnx for any help peeps...Oh! and do you need to be 55 to do those UW mesmer teams??

Here is mine, (alwaysdeadpaw) she has been deleted and reborn again, going for different armor this time. The other is my BF's his has been delelted as well..I really liked the way his looked.

And no you don't need a 55 build to join one of the UW farming teams - I believe they normally only take one tank.
But 55 mesmer is fun I've been at Elona trying to grab some more skill points for Luned, and as long as you take it slow you can 55 without some of the "core" skills that normal 55 builds use, AND the runes are so much cheaper!

I recently deleted my Tyrian mesmer to recreate her as a Canthan mesmer, in the hopes I would like the profession more (I never really felt the mesmer love when I played her in Tyria, but I think that had a lot to do with me just being tired of going through the campaign for the seventh time :P). Lookswise, I infinitely prefer Canthan mesmers over Tyrian ones:
