Ok one that I can really remember that occured a lot was teleporting to the position of the enemy you attack, this I think occurs when you are in the middle of attacking and just click another monster, instantly you appear inside the monster then it cuts back to you running towards the monsters. Many times it would do this for me.

Occasionally I would walk either under objects or above objects in a straight line. I assume this is a internet problem and when it finds the connection again it corrects the problem but it can be quite disturbing at times.

Of course there were other issues with either monsters or your own character starting to attack in the wrong direction and then spinning around to the proper position

I had the teleporting one as well as the' Multiple times I froze underneath the ground and could only rotate around, this is definitely not my pc's issue and once I was able to get out of the freeze by clicking on a dropped item a short distance away.' That was when I fell under the bridge.

I thought this was just something to do with me but after looking through some posted screenshots I found others with the same issue. Mostly noticable in the chat window, lines of text are missing tops or bottoms. This is also present in other text areas as well. I kept wanting to scroll, felt like I was missing something.

Attached is a screen that was posted that held the same problem:

Not sure if this has been said, but on March BWE, i was taken to Seared ascalon as soon as i created my player!
Some told me i was affected by a bug and i had to remake my character. This is strange because you aren't allowed into the academy till level 3 and didn't even get to see any of the lovely green in pre-searing!

We only had one bug (besides the monster's teleporting straight to me for a second like previously posted... for ranged attackers), the bug is on the first mission. I died, my friend died, 1 guy left he literally runs past the final boss (no resurrection stone). Hits the area to finish, all of us respawn there for the big run but NO TIMER (and this was our first time), happened again when we took another new guy there to beat it, there was no timer when he died and we finished it.

I could no longer play guild wars on my laptop for the March bwe which played just fine during the February bwe. It is a 3.2 ghz Pentium 4 with ATI mobility 9000 and 1GB ram. I have the latest catalyst and all other games that I have play fine (Half-Life 2, CS:S, also designed for ATI cards like GW). I was able to create characters as well as select my old one to play with but the first loading screen froze when it got to 100% and it crashed my Laptop. I played the game fine on my gaming PC though using my account. I got to play the march bwe which was great but i could not play with my brother cause my laptop couldnt load GW for some reason. I have seen that others have had the same problem as me, so I would like to know if the requirements have been upped or something. Thanx.

Exploit
Some guilds could run through the door before the countdown was over. They could squeeze themselves through the door that blocked them from running away in the start. Someone on IRC said he was pretty good at it and could do it in 4-5 seconds every time.

Gaile, you heard about that bug in Lion's Arch district 1 at the end-event from someone else, you even answered to it. Just writing to confirm it.

this is wat i put together
im not sure if theyve been said but its just meant to help make guild wars more enriching

---Day and night transitions (CRITICAL!!!)
:::::There should be a clock! or maybe a sun dial(to stay
with the theme?
:::::in my opinion the clock should have the correct time
(if it's 3:00 am in real life, then it's 3:00 am in the
game)
:::::there should be a moving sun and moon(s)... you could
maybe have a changing skybox that changes every hour or
so
:::::fires and such should go dim during the daytime

---Weather
:::::WIND(CRUCIAL)capes and such should act as if being
blown by wind(wind will have different speeds/direction
:::::storms:should be VERY elaborate;rain or snow will fall
and be affected by wind; lightning(flashes several
times per second to be realistic) and water could be
affected maybe?
:::::fog:not too much though; should be after short rains
:::::you should be able to see a storm coming(EX: dark
clouds forshadowing rain etc.)
---Swimming(CRITICAL!!!)
:::::allow swimming!
:::::when level up occurs, player can upgrade their swimming
ability to swim faster.
::::to keep people from going too far)when in deep waters,
player begins to struggle and lose health rapidly
:::::swimming in storm = death

---Emotes(not as critical but wanted)
:::::add a popup menu
:::::customization(let players choose which dance to do)
:::::add an auto emote(EX: when player types OMG, their
character, if not moving, acts excited;please = /beg;
lol = /laugh; etc.)
---Social(very much needed)
:::::add bars, taverns, pubs and such for those who just
like to dance and mingle.
:::::use medieval themed music like harps and such.
:::::soft music in between dance music
:::::dance music every so often
:::::add ability/emote to dance with other person

---Character
:::::add ability to customise size/color/type/etc.:
:eyes
:mouth
:nose
:nails
:tattoos
--other
:::::add a search function so people can type the name of
a person they are looking for and, if far away, the
location of that person is displayed and if close, like
in the same area, that person appears on radar and
emits a sort of glow.
:::::add the ability for guilds to buy extra cape type things.
these would include ones that go on ur arm(one corner
attached to ur wrist and one to ur elbow, a cape that
would hang down in front and back of ur groin like a
really long loincloth. capes that hang from ur hips(just
as long as loin cloth) one that you have on ur chest and
ur back(like those things runners wear w/ #'s on them)
and ones that would attach to ur outer knees.....
the pricing on such items could be based on wins or losses or i suggest making them as follows.......
1st cape----1,000g
2nd cape----10,000g
3rd cape-----30,000g
4th cape-----40,000g
5th cape-----50,000g
6th cape-----80,000g
::::::all of the capes would be ragdoll like their normal
counterparts and more capes = more of an experienced guild
:::::: players can choose not to wear certain cape parts but must wear at least one so as to advertise and promote their guild.

---Inventory

:::::i suggest adding some of the following slots for enchanted eqquipement and such
/////cape slots on ur arms legs torso groin back and hip
/////belt slot
/////glove slot
/////ear ring slots for enchanted earings and such
/////wrist slot for bracelets and such
/////finger slots(10) for rings( if people have shiny fingers,
you know they're rich)

---Also

::::: let people have the ability to use their gold on different hair styles and colors and even able to use dye on their hair or to add tattoos
and let them buy piercings
not the kinds used today but the kinds used by tribes and such

im sure i could say more but that awt to tie you over

and btw
i am a character/level designer in the making and was wondering if maybe later i could help you guys with designing the game or expansions
i am not asking for a job but im asking for the permission to take my own swing at experiencing that job before i go out and get one
i am 15 almost 16 and i ask for no pay
it might seem wierd of me but i really need some insight as to how i will fair in design.
i can provide concepts of just about anything
and like i said i won ask for money
but i want to help and to see how a game is put together and to see how my work can affect things.
please consider this and email me at:

[email protected]

i hope i have helped
i love your game
best of wishes
and good luck

well...I reported with in-game bug report, but I was having too much fun playing guildwars that I forgot to test it again later lol

Bugs:
-When bags are full, I can't switch the weapon.(from 4 weapon slot in bottom left corner beside the menu bar)

-Lets say out of 4 weapon slot, 1 slot is empty. When bags are full, I can not put weapons in that empty slot, because it won't let me select the empty weapon slot.

There was one glaring one at the Yak's Bend Arena. I went to try a PvP there only to be told that it was restricted to levels 10-15 (I was Lvl20). Fair enough. So I walked through the exit, and found myself on a totally blank map, no characters, no creatures, no toggle points, no gates, just complete and total unrestricted access to the ground map.

Yeah, I capped several P-maps that I was going to send to MOOMANiBE, except that it appears that he's already got very clear maps of those regions. I also took a couple screencaps of when I wandered up to the very edge of the world... close enough that I could fall off the side (see? It really IS flat...!)

I'm a little late at this, but i didnt even notice this thread till a little while ago. o_O;;

When you are in the pre-searing world, after completing any number of quests, and going into the academy pvp, if you quit out after the pvp part and go back into the city of Ascalon, it will reset all your quests. This exploit makes it so you can go back through getting all the quest exp again. I saw a few level 15s pre-searing doing this... -_-

Oh yes after a party selects to skip a cutscene you will get characters like Rurik remaining in the stance he was during the cutscene (wide legs even) and then he moves like this to attack monsters, it looks quite funny. It's hardly a big bug but worth mentioning.

One curious issue I discovered was that when you run out of diskspace taking screenshots, GW pops up an error saying it can't write to disk, then exits without further notion. Not a pleasant thing in the middle of a mission.

A rough free disk space check before attempting to write to the screenshot would perhaps be in order (given the .bmp screenshot format the resulting filesize is known before the screendump starts), although this might slow the procedure down somewhat. The game terminating seems unnecessary - it is still quite capable of functioning since you can simply restart the game even when the disk is full.

Given the streaming nature of GW however it might be advisable to make sure a certain amount of disk space remains free, reserving it for streamed content rather than a last few screenshots before it runs out of space.

-edit-
Just thought of another issue that might be a bug or a feature, unsure so I'll just report it - if a necromancer exploits a fresh corpse that is in the process of being resurrected, the resurrection will fail. The resurrection will need to be recast in order to complete.

I assume this is caused by the 'fresh' corpse being replaced by an 'exploited' corpse at the moment the necromancer finishes casting, and since the resurrection originally targeted the 'fresh' corpse it will fail because that target is gone.

If this is intended, it could be an interesting opportunity for enemy necromancers to frustrate resurrection attempts; if it's not intended the resurrection-in-process must somehow be informed to target the 'exploited' corpse instead of the 'fresh' corpse the moment the replacement occurs.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I had a problem completing the quest 'Report to the White Mantle', when you have to go from Lion's Arch to D'Alessio Seaboard.

I was part of a group that walked over there, but when one person 'reported' to the guy the game seemed to think that I had as well. I wasn't given the option to report and complete the quest, even if I came back on my own. I couldn't officially complete the quest and get the reward, so it just stayed listed in my quest log, incomplete and taunting me.

This actually happened back in the February BWE, but I still had the problem in the March BWE, so I decided to stop being lazy and report it.

I love this game! Just had to get that off my chest =)

Props to whoever coded the lag prevention/handling stuff, here's a pat on the back:

Me and a friend of mine live in a building where our school provides the internet connectivity (1000mbits/sec, yum). I'm a GW fan, obviously, while he plays WoW. For some time before, and during, the February beta-event our connection had some serious problems: every 45 seconds or so we would completely lose connectivity for a couple of seconds, in between it would work fine. My friend playing WoW simply couldn't play; after connecting to a server (yes, *after* standing in connection-queue for 15 minutes) the game would disconnect completely when our internet-connection went down.
When the time for the february event came, I had pretty low hopes of actually getting to play any GW, but lo and behold: it worked without any serious problems!
The problems with my connection were plainly still there; monsters and players would simply stop moving and stand still for a couple of seconds, even during combat. I was quite surprised at how GW acted when the connection came back: The game would fast-forward in a way, playing through all that happened during the lag-spike. What really amazed me though, is how i could still play during the lag-spikes: If I pressed the button for a healing spell a second after the connection dropped, when the game got the connection back it would take into consideration my healing spell, at the correct time, when it fast-forwarded. Result: If I hit a lag-spike while lots of monsters were standing around hitting me, I'd have just as good chance at surviving as if i had a normal connection. Awesome.

Er, noticed that this post turned into a rant instead of a bug report, here are some bugs for you =)

I'm a bit surprised at how few of the bugs I experienced have been mentioned... maybe they only happen to me

Here's a couple i found, i'll try using the /bug feature(lol) next time:

Please fix this one, think of the kittens:
Me and a full party was playing in the Tomb of Primieval Kings when we were matched against the cheapest party ever: They had a ranger with a very odd build... He had maxed out Fertile Season, and some other ritual adding lots of max-hp. The result was that all players (yes, both teams) had about 1200-1500 in max-hp, and the monks on each team had no trouble keeping everyone alive. We tried focusing the entire party on one of their monks, but they could heal it off without much trouble. If anyone actually died they were quickly ressed with about 600 starting hp. We had played for about an hour without any of the teams actually getting close to winning, when someone on the opposing party suggested that if we thought it was boring we were free to leave. This really annoyed several of my partymembers when the other team started bragging about having won several matches before using this tactic. After some more pointless hacking and slashing without any result, our partymembers slowly left, one after one. When our party was down to me and one other guy, they stopped casting the nature rituals and killed us. FUN! If you don't fix this in retail, I am going to cry.

The party screen sometimes only shows one digit of the level of other players. This bug has been in every event I have been in (the WPE, the february-beta and the march-beta). A level 20 Elementalist/Monk could be shown as E/Mo0, or E/Mo2. It's pretty random, and players whose professions and level are shown properly in a town, could end up bugged in a mission (or alternatively when being bugged in town, it could display fine in a mission). This is really cheesy and I've never seen it reported. I have been playing on the same computer for all these events, so there is a chance of it just being me getting this bug.

I have encountered more bugs, especially with the interface, but I can't remember any good ones right now (yes I can, the Drop Item button does not display properly with the chat-box open).

I do have some slight trouble with sound though, but this is probably just on my computer: Every couple of minutes i hear a LOUD click in the sound. With speakers turned up loud, or wearing headphones it's almost painful, it's definetly startling. I have a rather expensive Creative Audigy 2 sound card, so that's a bit exotic. Still, I hope you fix this in retail.

Actually, your rather expensive Audigy 2 sound card is the reason for this problem. I had the exact same problem on my Audigy card, in Guild Wars and certain other applications. I'll spare you the technical details of why exactly it happens (and which hardware combination causes it), but it basically boils down to an incredibly lousy driver by Creative, and none of the official driver versions fix this problem.

As far as I can tell it's not specifically related to Guild Wars other than Guild Wars aggressively claiming processor time (since I've been blessed by that horrid screeching in some other applications), but I do believe I managed to get rid of the screeching by uninstalling the official Audigy drivers and software and replacing them with open-source drivers from the kX Project, which are designed specifically to work with the sound chipset found on SB Live! and Audigy line cards. Their latest stable drivers support almost everything except the EAX portion of the Audigy card, which to me was a fair tradeoff for saving my hearing.

I had a couple of problems with getting stuck on either scenery or my Melandru. The first time it happened, I got stuck to my Melandru for about a minute, but then I was able to get unstuck. The second time though, I got stuck in a stairwell and with my Melandru stuck too me as well, and I couldn't get out of that one until my party reached a cutscene.
