Does the ecto you found stack with any old Ecto? If so, I don't see how they could "grey" these items out. Same with any gold that you find.

i hope the loading screen stays, its loads better than the old one, and i love the black... how about the new area's?

what are your ideas?

Quite probably the new "PvP Islands"/map will be the future of PvP from now on. Loading screen, character creation etc. will probably all stay as well.

The preview will be of the new classes Ritualist and Assassin, and their skills and weapons, and maybe preview of new weapons etc. I'm guessing all those will be for the weekend only. Don't take my word for it though, am just guessing based on the update notes

i hope your right, the best thing for a game IMO is an interface update, as its the one thing you see all the time.

i totaly love the new loading screen, and think its the best thing since sliced bread. totaly cant wait for factions now, but i'll be playin guild wars for a long time too

I'm pretty convinced the new interface etc is definately going to stay - if you create a new PvE character you get to choose which Campaign/Chapter you want to start with, and for "Factions" it says "Coming soon Spring" or something... that alone tells me the new interface is permanent (unless they patch it/change it some more in future)

The Isle of the Nameless is awesome!!

It teaches about Aoe, Conditions, Hexes, How to capture a flag, repair a catapult, damage vs 60 armor, vs 80 armor, vs 100 armor.

Next to each major NPC is a Master of Wind who casts windborne speed on you so you can run around the island faster ^^

You can practive vs different masters:
master of healing = practice monk killing (alesia skin)
master of hexes = me/n killing (DUNHAM WITH LIFE TRANSFER OMG!!!!!)
master of energy denial = Me/R (energy stealing along with QZ....WTF?)
master of lightning = Air Spike
master of survival = R/N with melandru's resilience o.O;
master of hammers = o.o holy crap its Haversdan!!
master of axes = warrior with new armor

Question regarding the Runes that were posted here. The swordamnship rune, for example, says does not stack.
I know runes do not stack.
However does this change with armor? example: an executioners helm +1 and a superior axe mastery +3 would be a +4 to axe skills. Does this still apply? or does the non stack prevent this? Or was this just to remind us that Runes do not stack?

OHHHHHHH YEEEEEESSSS!!!!! If you scroll down at the PvP weapon list when you make a new PvP character you can see assasin and ritualist weapons. And on the assasin weapons it says: Both handed AND WE GOT DUAL-WIELD YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Got a question: How do you actually beat the Zaishen Challenge? I know it says in the update notes that you beat 5 challenges. But anyone figure out what exactly does this, to unlock Zaishen Elite?

I let it randomly choose my arenas and opponents.... out of 7 battles, I beat 5.... 1 in each arena, but it kept spawing the IW and Obs. Flame teams for me to crush. So 5 victories and no dice on the next mission.

So, anyone figure out if you have to beat 5 different teams in 5 different arenas, or what's the key here?

I think the servers are struggling. Clicked on the game icon and it started the first part of the download, but not its trying to connect to anet and not doing a very good job of it. And I was so looking forward to exploring the new areas.

Oh well. Guess I get to do that after work.

Yep, first you boat travel to batlhazar palace and go in to the isle of th nameless, once you are there you take the q from the guide and starts the challange. Win all the battles that you coem to then travel to random maps and win five in a row, and then, you got your zaishen elite challange! GAHHHH ITS REALLY HARD!!!!

Don't know if anyone has posted any shots of the new UW or not. I didn't think about it until 2 hours into the run so only have a few of the third part "the Courtyard." My team finally just got exhausted and quit. It flows pretty well though. The drops were terrible, no ecto, shard, and I think I saw only one purple drop. There was, however a gold chest and a two purples. (Gold gave me a 15^50). The blue items are pretty oddly worded. Things like "Halves skill recharge time of Fire Magic (10%).

I've not seen this posted elsewhere yet - at the end of the 'new' UW accessible from tombs there are 3 level 30 mesmer bosses (darknesses). I was just with a team. Each killed boss dropped one or two new green items. Saw an axe, bow, a couple of monk items and I got Illiana's Mirror (Mesmer, 9 fastcast, shorten deep wound, +30 health). Unfortunately I didn't get screenshot of the items others got (printscreen would have caused collateral damage, and naturally they picked theirs up doubletime) but here's a screenshot of mine.

I think the male elementalist armour looks abit well....crap. Looks so much like the beginner version of the ele gear you got in pre-searing, I hope there's much better looking armour later on in the game.

It replys:

Some or all of your party members are not able to travel to the selected city.

Otherwise....

You get a countdown of about 10 seconds before mapping.
