Whats the point of buying a maxa damage felblade with all the coolest stats and kickass upgrades if nobody can see it outside of combat unless they open trade menu?
There should be a toggleable holster for your weapons and sheild/focus so u can display them slung on your back or by your side in a sheath or on a bandolier or something.
That way everybody can see you Magmas shield and icy dragon sword strapped to your back.
(and you can tell if your monk is going to pull out a hammer as soon as you start the mission, rather than get a nasty surprise)
Holsters and stuff

I definately like this idea, not only does it let you show off your stuff---it just adds to the realism of it all, makes the game a lot more immersive I'd have to say. Honestly, who's weapon magically disappears when they're in a town? It'd be wicked for you to stick it in your belt or put it on your back or something.
Along with this you could also have customizable "holsters"---you could buy different sorts of straps and scabbards for your weapons to further differentiate you from the others. Good idea me thinks.

I'd like to see weapons slung in town too, though I'm not sure how it could be done. Bows could be slung over the back/shoulder I suppose, but swords/axes/hammers? They would interfere with/block the view of capes? Something like this maybe?
Considering it's all right handed in GW weapons would have to be on the left. That or have a scabbard slung over the left shoulder so the weapon hangs down vertically (think of how modern rifles are slung down the side/shoulder). Though again, interference from the armour model. Staves I suppose could just be carried around, at a less horizontal angle.

I agree it would have to be toggleable otherwise you might embarass yourself. Imagine a hulking great tank in fissure armour strutting around with a Tiny little short-sword strapped to his side. Not that ive got something against short swords.
And it would be fun to wave your stuff in peoples faces although it might put off someone from pre-sear just arriving in ascalon when a crowd of level twenty Warriors run at them waving dirty great flamberges and fellblades.
