What we need is more body types at least the opposite type to the current ones,
A thin necromancer to a fat necromancer.
A oversized tank warrior to thin warrior.
Bring in the three main body types for all professions, at least as possible variants
Endomorph = Fatter
Mesomorph = Muscled
Ectomorph = Thinner

We should be able to dye our hair and underwear - I want my warrior to have black boxers and why just boxers why not those overly snug ones some other professions wear.

Be allowed to
Dye Hair eyes and underwear
Change hairstyles and underwear
Adjust height more – short as a dwarf or even taller – where’s my 8 foot tall warrior
Change body type or adjust level of fat/muscle – skinny and toned or fat and wobbly
For females adjust breast size a notch up or down – some want smaller others bigger.
For males have beards and moustaches – small goatees to dwarven mega beards. - gimme a beard, big and bushy and be able to dye it.

Make to easy to do at character creation and a couple of platinum to do later.

You put so much time into these characters I think you should be able to make them really unique. I'd definitely love this.

I hate how alot of the male charicters look due to lack of certain abilities to change certain things that make them look so "disfigured" and tasteless to me.

I think it would be nice if they added this in the new expansion where we would be able to choose from three body types.

The first would be the normal body type that rangers and elementalists seem to share. The second would be skinny which necromancers have. The third would be bulky which warriors use and the last would be the monk type I'm not sure about the mesmer body type but I'm assuming its the same as the ranger type.

This idea would let people make skinny warriors or bulky necros and expand the way people can create unique characters. If three body types is too many then atleast let us choose between two that would fit the profession the best. (bulky/normal for warriors, skinny/normal for necros, ect)

Before anyone says that this would be too difficult to do because they would have to change all the armors remember that there are only about 5-6 armor meshes and they would only have to change it for one body type if they gave us two bodies to choose from for each profession.
well, this is the good idea, I don't like hulking warrior too. normal for warriors are good ^^

It'd be great to have, but I don't see it happening too soon, if at all. There are more important things to work on.

It wouldn't be very hard and its not like working on this is going to hold the rest of the team back that can add new features. Really this would be the best time to add it if they were going to.

I think this is more important than most stuff...

I dont really care about pve updates...and balance updates are done by a dedicated team....same with expansions.

If nothing else...hire more people/outsource this part...They should have extra money with factions coming out.

Indeed, I agree. I think if they wait too long to add this then it would be awkward to suddenly add it.

My thread got locked, here's what it said...

CHANGES TO BODY MASS

OKAY, I'm getting a little upset here. I don't know if this is a suggestion or a complaint, probably both.

I want to make a warrior. I really do. But I don't want to be a huge hunk! I mean CMON why stereotype warriors?

I don't lift weights everyday, I just fight the Charr because I'm defending my nation.

Okay so here is my suggestion:
In the character creation process you can change your body mass to from a scale of bulky to skinny to fat. I mean, why not? It's definately not hard to make.

And here is my complaint:
I'm sick and tired of profession stereotyping. More options are needed when customizing the character. When factions comes out there will be a lot of new Korean faces to choose from. IM NOT KOREAN. I want more caucasion choices! (not being racist or anything.)

So yeah I play a Ranger/Warrior because I cannot stand the way warriors look.

ALSO take a look at this pic of the skill "warriors endurance". WARRIORS DONT LOOK LIKE THAT, Rangers do!

FIX IT!!

I like the idea but I'd also like to be able to change hair styles or dances as well from a trader in the game. And maybe your character could lose weight and gain muscle as he progresses depending on the action they see.

I was thinking alon a similar line. When I first bought the game i wanted a toon with a beard fortunatly rangers have one face that is bearded. But it is disapointing that they do not have a larger selection of faces...they r all clean shaven "pretty boys". It should not be hard for Anet to add more faces, its not as if there lips move...Rurik the great Ventrillaqust...
Maby they should put an extra build option like choose your hairstyle but instead choose facial hair (dunno what female equivelant will be ..jewelry maby.

I like the suggestion that some towns may have a "hairstylist" or "barber shop" where you can go in and get your hairstyle changed. This could also include beard style etc.

They have a great start to the game and hopefully they will start to add the little things like this that will really take them to the next level.

If they just made a scale like they did with the height they wouldn't need to make more models. If professional 3D modelling works anything like the kind I've done, the height scale actually just stretches the model in specific ways.
