And I think that your second image is the Melandru's Statue near Twin Serpents Lake (although I've not been there, so maybe some who has can confirm).

A couple more nice landscapes. Your first image is south west of Serenity Temple, not far from the collector for the Firey Flame Spitter.

The second image looks like the view south over the hollow in Snake Dance from the entrance to War Camp where 3 bosses can be found.

You're in the Breach, to the southwest west of Piken Square. I had pretty much forgot where I took that pic, but it sounds right.
I've seen pics like that of four different gods, but haven't spotted Melandru yet. Is there one around somewhere?

Edit: Well do I feel like an idiot. Just noticed that there's pictures of all five gods right there inside Ascalon city. Guess I just don't pay much attention when in towns.

First one is correct, second one almost. It is taken in snake dance, but not the point you discribe Yes, there's an area further north with the giants where the fog hangs in the valley like that. Very picturesque. Alas, I do not have a screenshot to show to confirm that I've been there.

Asplode, your location is beyond the charr in the Great Northern Wall mission. This area was used in some of the early stumpers. Nope, guess again.
