Your site is running phpBB (the portal etc are just other mods), so as long as you have ftp access to the folder where your phpBB is installed then yes you should be able to use gwbbcode.

The answer is no. As he/she doesn't have FTP access since the forum is hosted on forumcircle.com/makeforum.org

Be aware folks if you use GWBBCode on your forum, there seems to be a hiccup with the skills from this weeks update. The Zip file and the individual files on the GWshack forums all have the same fault.

Being a Ranger I noticed that the Comfort Animal description didn't match the new function - on pulling my hair out (thinking our forum was acting up!) and then checking the Skills DB files - there are three descriptions for the skill and the one being 'pulled' by the display routines has the wrong description.

I've raised this on the GWshack forum - at a guess their routine has been fooled by a data format change on the wiki - but they haven't replied yet.

If you can't wait - then you can edit the Skills DB file yourself and delete the extra skills and insert the correct description. I don't know if more skills are affected - I've asked our users to keep an eye out.

Same question/concern as atray. 'Been trying to get GWBBCode up and running for a few days now. Haven't had any success whatsoever. I would assume this is due to gwshack.us not being active for quite sometime now. If so, is there any other way of installing the code? Any help/advice is much appreciated.

Supposedly, vBulletin4 allows BBCode in posts. http://www.vbulletin.com/index.php?d...style-features but you might want to check with vbulletin, perhaps through their forum. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/

gwbbcode has been sadly stopped by the original coder and team but its stated on the gwbbcode site that someone else has taken over the project and the new location is http://code.google.com/p/gwbbcode and as far as its been stated they will continue with skill updates when they happen.

Thats an old bug and ive only had that once and way i got rid of the problem was to look thru the code and remove the line for it.Im not savvy with coding but from what i recall of it - it wasnt hard for a noob like me to edit and remove , also if you screw up just unzip a new copy.
If i try a new installation i can probably give instructions on how to fix

Ive almost done the march derv updates - sadly due to illness and getting mild carpal tunnel syndrome its got set bk.Im hoping within the next 2 weeks to get it all upto date and manually editing the skills is a big time user.
With all the derv changes and not just skill description but under which attribute type each is under.When i do get it done i may need a few ppl to check everything is correct.
Btw does anyone or can anyone lay their hands on an auto update script or something - thats something thats really needed.

Same boat, every time I get back to updating the skill_db, I just end up trying to search for the auto update GWShake had, It's what brought me here from google..lol. It's like trying to write a book, rewriting this code.

Ive manged to add all the updates now for this year - tho ive not checked it yet for errors or mistakes , gonna try that later tonight.
With doing the updates and adding pvp splits i noticed one thing - there doesnt seem to be any ordering with both skill files as skills for professions can be on either page.
I may delve into the coding and work out if i can reorder the skills into classes without any mishaps.

Arghhh Bud - you reminded me what ive forgotten to do - add images for the new pvp splits .. least this will act as a reminder
