I like that Necro armor...
Ranger armor looks good too, seems to be +15 against Earth IMO...
Although from the descriptions one would think you can only get certain types of armor if you join either the Luxons or the Kurzick...

Certain armors (El, Ranger, Mesmer) say that they're influenced by either Luxon or Kurzick design. I wonder...are certain armor types only available to warriors aligned with the proper faction? Or is it that the look of a specirfic armor type shifts based on factional alignment?
Personally, I'm more inclined to believe the latter. It seems out of character for Anet to restrict certain armors based on faction choice, but I'd not put it past them...

Another thought is it could "morph" based on your faction your aligned with at the time but I don't think they will do this.

Hmm.. 6 new armors.. 2 new factions.. Thats only 3 armor per faction.. So if you stick to 1 faction will you only experience 50% of the armor you could be able to obtain. Although apparently you don't have to choose a faction at all, you can just keep postponing the "I'll join your Faction" Mission or Quest or how ever it'll be dealt with.

The Ele Monk and ranger armor seems to be totally different from what was seen in the CGW preview
Judging by the images and how the Ele and ranger armor seems more natrulistic and the other armor seems more highbrow I would guess that both factions have their own armor for some classes

i hope the 2 new classes arent jipped on armor...i hope they get just as much as all the old chars are getting...like since the core chars are getting all this new armor in cantha they should have armor for the new chars in tyria influanced by that culture...all i'm really lookin for is more armor options....hmmm.. .heres to hoping

That warrior is by far the worst thing I've ever seen. Ten steps back from even the garbage warriors are forced to use now. Someone needs to fire the clown designing the warrior armor sets.

I really don't like the warrior armor. You'd think the stereotype heavy armor profession would be easiest to make awesome looking armor for, but you'd be mistaken if you had to go by Guildwars. I'm afraid in their attempt to make it look unique they've made it look too unfamiliar. If I didn't know any better I'd say it looks like something a ritualist would use.

What it suggest to me is that:
Each group will have a different type/method of attack, so more styles/types of armor will be available. Some may protect against status attacks, other may proctect against pysical attacks. Which adds a new wrinkle, which side has the better looking armor.

As a whole I view the new warrior armor to be the ugliest piece of crap ive ever seen. The only thing that I would get from that set is the gauntlets to go with my 15k dragon armor. Best part of the entire suit if you ask me.
Really, just because we are meat sheilds doesn't mean our armor has to suck.
What i would like to see is a Warrior set of armor that looks good and doesn't make male warriors look like a couch potatoe with a beer belly.

I like the warrior helmet. The whole warrior armor is like a mash up between chinese style dragon armor and a japanese style monk helmet. Very intimidating. I mean cmon, the whole point in war is to intimidate the enemy. Wouldn't you be freaked out if you saw something as unnatural as that comin at you?

Honestly, none of the full sets look good except the necro and mesmer. I can forsee some nice-looking combos though (monk chest with aesetic, ele gloves w/ anything) and I really can't see that warrior helmet doing too well in game...

i think i'll be sticking with my 15k if thats the best.the other warrior armor that has been shown may get a place in my wardrobe as a spare and that nec set looks very familiar for some reason hmm.also as i have said on another thread with the real ss's of the pre-order items,they look crap when compared to all the asian pre-orders.and that staff is just concept which is a shame cos it still looks a bit naf but is much better looking than what they went with.not sure if the dagger is same as the concept cos it was a small pic and couldn't see the detail very well.also don't worry about the mods the op in the other thread assured us that they were upgradable.
