Worst Elite Skill
d3kst3r
There's a lot of really bad elite skills out there. So what does everyone think is the worst of them all?
Lasher Dragon
Signet of Midnight
Raxxman
Sig of midnight + plague sending = mass blinding
keystone signet
keystone signet
d3kst3r
sig of midnight is bad if you're a warrior and good if you're a caster especially with plague touch.
my vote is for Quick Shot

Lampshade
Quick Shot gets a second
Chicken Rice Seller
Quick Shot 3rd
twicky_kid
Skull crack
After many chapters keystone sig will be GOD.

The worst has to be: UnYielding Aura
Aera
indeed...unyielding aura has my vote
d3kst3r
If you think about Quick Shot, it costs 5 mana and only does 1 shot whereas Read the Wind does exactly the same thing for 5 mana and lasts like 20 seconds... It's like the devs were drunk when they made Quick Shot.
Formina
1. Gimmering Mark
2. Amity
Plus a bunch of other ones -_-

Quick shot + Choking gas/Incendiary arrow can be quite good.
Another one I find barely better than Unyielding aura is Lightning surge...pitifully weak for an elite that cause exhaustion, 10 energy, and has a delay?!

I vote for Flourish.

Glimmering mark would be useful if you were a W/E with a lightning sword and you had to duel another W.

Flourish is great, I'm voting for Crippling Anguish.
Shinsei
Poison Arrow. Oh hello apply poison! What's that? You're a cheaper method of poisoning people AND you're not an elite? That's unpossible!
d3kst3r
Actually I prefer Poison Arrow over Apply Poison so I can use Kindle Arrows preparation instead AND poison.
Phoenix Ex
Escape is also a rather poor elite.
d3kst3r
Still Escape actually does something unlike Quick Shot.

lol I refuse to use an elite like escape to run around like a madman. Maybe In faction I can use it to play hide and seek with assassin?
Formina
Quick Shot used to be awesome when you could make its recharge time drop down to 0, I had many fun games with it. =P
d3kst3r
Heck, Escape ain't that bad. It's pretty much Storm Chaser and Whirling Defense put together.

The reason Quick Shot is an elite is because it has a 1 second cast time which means the no matter the bow used it shoots in 1 second much like the interrupts but without the delay.
In effect this means it can double you attack speed and can be spammed one after the other in a bit over the 1 second recharge, and can be best seen if you use a horn bow.
Also spells that decrease your attack speed such as faintheartness have no effect if you use Quick Shot as it has a 1 second cast time and you always will cast it in that time.
d3kst3r
Only reason for Quick Shot is if you want the effects of Read the Wind but wanna use another preparation. Stilln, 5 mana per shot for something so simple is a bit unbalanced.

amity - agree
unyielding - agree
escape - agree

It's for spamming and you would most likly run 13 expertise to cut the cost down to 2 energy.
I still remember it being popular with ranger spike before they fixed the recharge.
NinjaKai
Keystone Signet. In any situation the loss of non-signet skills for even a few seconds can be fatal.
Buzzer
Until there are more signets (which will happen), Keystone Signet is the worst for me.

Peace and Harmony.
Thunderclap.
Ether Prodigy.
Incendiary Arrows.
100 Blades.

I think the idea with Quick Shot is that if you have someone under Dazed, a series of normal attacks isn't very efficient since your attack speed is usually very slow. Quick Shot speeds up the rate you can hit people that are casting fast spells.
That in itself would be fine. Non-elite even. However, since Incindiary Arrows exists, it's either one or the other, and since IA is a better skill, QS gets shafted.
IMO, Quick Shot needs a very minor boost. Make the poor thing steal 3 health or something.

Ok, it's definately Quick Shot. It takes about 1 sec to load the arrow AND a 1 sec cast time compared to Called Shot that goes 3x as fast, cannot be "blocked" or "evaded", and has a 0 cast time. Even w/ the 3 sec recharge, I'll take Called Shot over Quick Shot anyday.
Fantus
Keystone Signet, definitely
Unyielding Aura is probably a waste of an elite slot, too
