How to kill GLINT
Nueman
I couldn't find any strategy tips on how to kill Glint and complete the Bonus for Dragon's Lair until, I stumbled on a little trick last weekend and now have completed this Bonus on all 4 of my characters.
The trick is to ensure the group contains at least 1 Primary or Secondary Necro and that person has Spinal Shivers with them.
As well Warriors and Rangers should all carry an ICY weapon, I have done this with only 1 person having that ICY weapon but it is much tougher better to have at least 2 people carrying them.
I have found that this works everytime.

its is easy as long as you have 2 ranger using savage shot when Glint is about to heal herself..

1 ranger with distracting shot (or any other interrupt) + 1 Tank Warrior + hench
Tarot Ribos
My only real problem with Glint is that pesky Crystal Shard Skin or whatever it is... it's a stance, it seems, so it can't be interrupted. On top of that, it can really deal a lot of damage to those stupid henchmen who don't know when to not attack.
But aside from that, it's not really that hard. Just interrupt what you can, and a lot of problems are solved.

I don't have much knowledge on the skill you're talking about Tarot Ribos, but if it really is a stance use wildblow to knock her out of it.

Rangers strafe and main damage dealers, Everyone else run around like headless chickens? Lol. Can't really remember the difference between the time I killied Glint and the times we haven't. Apart from the fact that everyone was trying

I remember the first time I killed glint. I was going with a group as a battery necro, and as such had BIP on my skill bar. And of coursing, since I was doing dragon's lair, I carried along a cap sig. And naturally, I capped Grenth's balence on the way there. So now my skill bar has 2 elite, grenth's balence and BIP.
Now, I get to glint, proceed to repeat this combination:
1)BIP
2)BIP
3)BIP
4)Balence
do that over and over a few times. Glint died soooo quickly...
The beauty of having 2 elite skills....

Easest time I had was with a beastmaster/interupt ranger in the party. Interrupted the big skills and as everyone else stayed at range after the fighters accumulated excessive DP, glint was wailing soley on his pet. Pet died, he rezed and glint turned around again to agro the pet rather than pick on anyone else. Did it with hench monks too!

one person take her egg and strafe left right (much better if have grenth balance), the monk will heal/protect this egg guy.
everyone else attack her.
when glint is nearly dead, he will slow down this egg guy. so be ready for some nasty shit

I killed her with henches only, no inturrupts (I was a W/Mo). It did end up taking like 20 minutes though.

... to either interrupt her Crystal Hibernation (causes elemental dmg to actually heal her) or if interruption fails; not to attack with elemental dmg weapons/spells while she's under Crystal Hibernation.
The opposite goes for Jagged Crystal Skin. While she's in this stance, attack only with weapons/spells giving elemental damage.
Crystal Hibernation:
For 20 seconds, she gains 7 Health regeneration. Whenever she would take elemental damage, she gains an equal amount of Health instead.
Jagged Crystal Skin:
For 10 seconds, whenever she's hit by physical damage, nearby foes (you and your allies) take 100 damage.

U need 2 Bring a Prot with Prot Spirit so u cant have Jagged Crystal Skin, with that trick i had 1 tank with stance removal and 4 barragers, with interupts, and 2 healers. I made it

This is how we did it:
2 tanks (one should be enough, but a backup tank for when the other one falls is nice) one holds egg and spams Glads Defence as much as posible (if he has it with him that is, since it's cap-able in Dragons Lair).
2 rangers interupt hybernations
The monks try to keep the tank with egg alive.
The rest try to do damage.
Don't attack when she uses Crystal Skin (VERY IMPORANT, this will get your tank killed quickly)
Don't cast spells when the energy draining skill is up. (or be exchausted for almost all your nrg)

just have a dominator or ranger interupt her important skills (haze, jagged skin and hibernation) and it's a simple free for all. monks heal. rest do dmg.... q is done.
any ranger or mesmer can make this easy with henchies, my count is up to 6 now. i doubt i will try again...the challenge is gone.

I had 455 hp
She would hit me twice for about 220 damage each time as I kitted about before GB was rechaged. Then wham 440 Damage to Glint, 440 hp gain for me.
This went on for some time until I dropped her.

Good way to lose health, use grenths, and help out a tank.... infuse health, infuse, infuse, balance... repeat. Helps your team out, and hurts Glint.
Jakerius
All you need is two rangers interrupting (pet interrupt for the added kick), and others to do damage and heal (warriors, eles, monks).
Necros can make the battle easier by things like Orders, SS and Disease.

the last time i went there to kill glint i picked up an egg and so did someone else when we did that glint was confused and didnt know who to attack. by they way i only did that about 2 days ago so it should still work.

Spinal Shivers = Glint-meat. Have a necro with high curses reapply it frequently. Use winter. Hit her with lots of elemental damage. With no skills ever resolving she's a walk in the park. It's actually funny how easy this skill makes it - just make certain the necromancer bothers to keep energy up if you are relying on this as the interrupt source.

I went down there with some guildies a couple days ago... I needed to do the mission with my Ranger, and they were going down to kill Glint, so we teamed up and did it together.
Basically all I had to use was Posion Arrow, Hunters Shot, and Distracting Shot. I actually had the pleasure of striking the finishing blow (or taking the final shot, however you look at it).
Ranger with Degen and Interrupts FTW!
And yes... I did breakdance on her head. Somebody asked me that...

Glint can be killed with no difficulty at all with an axe warrior with an elemental axe head, dismem/evisc, axe twist, disrupting chop, and a monk. Anything else is just there to make it faster.

Well, my friend and I just defeated Glint for our first time. After all the helpful hints in this thread, we devised our own variation. since my main character is a ranger, and my friend is a necro, we decided to use the best of both worlds.
Necro: Spinal Shivers, Grenth's Justice
Ranger: Savage Shot, Appy Poison, Greater Conflagration, Winter
This combo worked beautifully. Poison and GJ just helped to bring Glint down that much faster, and I actually didn't need to fire savage even once. The clincher here is the GC-W-SS, since the two spirits together make all damage cold damage, Glint couldn't get off a single spell and the dragon went down hard and fast. The only thing you need to be careful of is that with such continuous interruption, your necro's energy goes down fast, so kill Glint quickly, and if you can work in some energy regen skills it helps a lot.
Of course, you can't do this on your very first visit to the Dragon Lair immediately after ascension, since Greater Conflagration has to be capped in Hell's Precipice. But it does work well if you're going back to clean up all those bonuses you missed. Anyway, I hope this helps some future dragon slayers, good luck!

So we've had about 30 strategies for stopping Jagged Crystal Skin.... yet no-one had even the slightest common sense to include a mesmer with Diversion and Wastrels Worry?
I killed her on my monk once both the tanks were dead, not exactly difficult if you interrupt Crystal Hibernation. She just kept laying into a ranger with Prot Spirit on him, i think she got a bit pissed though in the end and started using Crystal Bonds, luckily both the ranger and Glint dropped at the same time.

I don't think Monster-only skills can be shutdown with Diversion (or Blackout for that matter).
But anyways with a Mesmer it's easy:

Ineptitude
Clumsiness
Cry of Frustration
Leech Signet (instead of Power Drain, since LS can interrupt Crystal Hibernation)
Inspired Hex
Since Inspired Hex can't change into Glint's hexes, it has an instant recharge, so you can remove the exhaustion hex quickly (make sure you remove it from yourself first, I sat there with a fully-greyed out energy bar before I noticed I was hexed, which is somewhat related to the used-up Res Sig...)

I killed Glint with 2 friends and rest henchies a few days ago
Myself: Ne/M with Blooddamage skills (Elite OoB), RezSig and one Mesmerskill - Cry of Frustration
Friend 1: E/Mo with Ressurect and Fireskills only, straight damage
Friend 2: W/E with Axe and Disrupting Chop and Rest whatever
Lina, Alesia, Reyna, Dunham and Orion as Henchies afaik
I took the Egg, dropped it, the Warr was right next to Glint, we started to pile damage on Glint, I interrupted whenever Cry was ready, the Warr interrupted when I couldn't. He died in the meantime, got ressed and we managed to kill Glint, took us maybe 2-3 minutes and was not really hard to do. Could have been faster but hey, we are just casual players
, therefore we missed a few (2 afaik) interrupts
With Friend 3 online we would have had a Ranger with additional interrupts, should have made it way esier.

Does the egg trick still work on Glint with the Book/Gear fix?

No it doesn't.
1 ranger with savage shot and distraction shot = gg glint.

As far as i know Glints can be. Jagged Crystal Skin can be for sure, that or she just happened to not bother using it for a long period of time...

Ahh great! I was basing my assumption on Shiro, who continues to use his skills normally after being Diverted and Blacked-out.

Distracting Shot + 7 Henchies Anyone can go /R for Distracting. Bring Distracting Blow and Wild Blow if you're a warrior. Aditionaly, if you're a warrior, don't bring melee henchies.

I don't really remember how we beat Glint with my monk, but I do seem to recall a mesmer in group that did iterrupt her. We all died except for 1 person. That one person was the "leader" that knew what they were doing and she eventually got everyone rezed. From there we regrouped and actually went over a strategy. It was pretty simple once we all worked together.
As a side note that Dragon's Lair mission was the one and only time I had someone run succor on my monk. An E/Mo ran succor on me for most of the mission. I don't think I ever ran into energy problems and I was spamming heals like a mofo too. I think that I have pretty good energy management, but if you have succor on you then its pretty easy to just pump out the heals with little concern for energy management. However, most of my heals were only 5 energy heals except for heal party which is 15 energy cost.

Personally i hate exploring anywhere because of mesmers
Even Ascalon gets frigging annoying with gargoyles spamming Imagined Burden on you!
Dove... its just a shame that after the item fix, holding the egg will no longer make her focus on you, even though it would make sense in this case imo.
Just went to capture Gladiators Defence on my Ranger and ended up killing Glint... no bleeding or poison, just an interrupt build w/ Punishing Shot. After not bothering to read Crystal Haze again i ended up with 0 energy pretty quickly... (thought it was spells only
) the 2 warriors died after the 3rd wave of Crystal Skin spamming, after that the henchman somehow clung on for dear life till she died.

Before they changed the item aggro, I beat it running a boon/prot monk build. One of the other players carried the egg while I just kept Protective Spirit on him (with Divine Boon off). I also carried Inspired Hex to remove the exhaustion hex Glint casts on you. Since you can't copy it, it has no recharge and you can take it off the whole team, as already pointed out by LuxA. Glint casts that hex so often that my monk still had problems with exhaustion, even when I took it off myself first every time.
Since the item aggro has changed, I offer this method. Bring an Elementalist/Mesmer carrying Inspired Hex so that the exhaustion won't be as crippling. Also, a Ritualist with Shelter and Soul Twisting. All the Ritualist has to do is keep Shelter running constantly. Everyone else can pretty much bring whatever they think will kill Glint the fastest.
