Merged: Annoying "Chinese bots" in droks

i recently got into troll farming and there is constantly a flow of Mo/W heading out into Talus Chute...the line of them never stops! and ive vaguely heard about the chinese farming bots, but what do they do? how do they do it? where should i look out for them? i would just like to know more about them so i dont end up getting scammed by one =/

can anyone help me out with some good info?

I think this has to be the 15th (at least 15th) post about bots and chinese farmers. The search button is your friend . Learn to use it. But seeing as how you are new to the board, I'll answer your questions. They are bots that farm 24/7 for their owners who get gold and sell it on ebay. Don't buy gold off of ebay because it is against the EULA (i believe thats what it's called).

How are they anoying?? Just ignore them and farm your trolls.

they are annoying b/c the more people that are farming one spot at one time, the less drops or less good drops there are...(or am i mistaken?) and hasnt Anet done anything about these bots or do they not care? lol

i dont know...it just kind of annoys me that they come over in our districts and get our resources/money 24/7 and reduce the amount we get, and arent even penalized for it..maybe im just still sore over europe having favor for the past month it seems like (though we did for a while last night)

You are mistaken. Their actions have nothing to do with your drops. Your drops will...er...drop if you keep zoning into the same area over and over.

are you sure? i know ive heard somewhere that if you stay in one spot long enough, you will hardly get anything, i believe its something they added a while back when griffon farming was all the rage. it was to stop people from getting uber rich uber quick....but i could be wrong i suppose..does anyone else know anything about the anti-farming thing?

pretty much well said....the drops are random and by a group of people farming the area, it will not change your chances of getting a good drop....until anet nerfs the specified farm zone....oh, and they are almost all human players...not bots. Bots run on a program that requires minimal human interaction whereas humans working in a sweatshop (or whatever they're called) are...well...human. I speak basic chinese and most of them are very nice people.

I don't know where people get these crazy drop rumors. The other one I disagree with is that having 'favor' affects drop quality as well. Favor only affects ability to get into Uw/Fow

ok..well im probably wrong about that :-P however, once i was farming undead hordes with no luck and then i got a message "There is a new build of Guild Wars. Please exit and run the program again" and i just decided to stay and farm, almost everyone had left and i kept going, and in that run i got 2 gold sephis axes and a gold rune, not to mention a purple dead bow....i dont know if this has anything to do with the fact that i was the only one there or just coincidence..

I'd say it was just an uber lucky coincedence...nice P/U though

Maybe I should get some guildies together and see if we can body-block the exit... Annoying i-monks almost constitutes as *FUN!*

True! However, they ACT like Bots. Usually what will happen is that area will get nerfed....that will mess it up for us regular players. Since China is limiting what people there can search for on the Internet(Google Lite,etc)...what would happen over in China if they limited their game sites?

I know I'm asking for a flamin here but....I love the guys...they powerlevel you for free like nobodies business....its great! Just give them the drops that are assigned to you and they are content like no other.

Im gonna aggree with the greatnnes of their free powerlvlling i mean instead of having to pay 1- 2 k per lvl there happy as long as you give em the drops.

If they are not using external programs, I do not see the problem. The time and effort used on farming are their own. Why isnt there a complain post on gold buyers? They are the ones encouraging these bots.
