Farming New Luxxon Ettins

That's the point, monks don't have an interrupt. Primary 55 monks can use their secondary to get one. 55 necros need to have monk as their secondary, so they don't have that option.

this is ghay stop sharing the good spots or anet will nerf it too... gosh. every ettin run ive made out of seaboard with my 55 has gave me 1 gold rune and 3 purples every single run... but now everyone will know and it will get ruined. not that i dont want other people to know im just tired of farming nerfs

oh and its the basic 55 build with zealots fire, yes they run but i aggro the entire mob so it really dont matter then i simply spam ps and breeze to deal killing dmg to out damage there heal sig

Yes indeed they do: Spinal Shivers.

Requires the Necro to have a cold dmg dealing weapon -- but what necro doesn't nowadays.

I have this quest on my warrior, and yeah I solo this alot of times, however I can't get the mission to appear for my monk. I haven't done much kryta missions on this monk, I basically skipped kryta even though the monk has finished the game. Is there something like a mission that needs to be done b4 this can be activated?

At this point, trigger breeze and prot spirit for another 120k (they have lower armor, so fire dmg doubles). They don't cast heal sig twice in a row, so they attack you again, and then you hit breeze again. Voila, they almost never sig after this point.

And I don't understand how anyone could do this run in 8 minutes.
First, you can have a bad guard spawn right outside of lions arch (skale blighters anyone?)
Second, you inevitably have to kill some imps and tengu (all of which take time)
Third you have to watch so that you dont aggro any tengu wild.
Fourth, it takes roughly 4 minutes just to run to the ettins (if there were NO enemies)
And finally, if you get a good spawn and simply run to the ettins, you will trail a horde of aggro, and no matter how many health regen you have, being hit by 15+ monsters simultaneously is instant death. Even more so if imps have you burning.

with 13hp you can aggro all the ettins at once

I Solo'd Both quests Easy with 55hp.

Phreakilla, it doesn't matter if anet nerfs this... 55 monks have cash coming out of their ears, the build is designed to farm.

For interrupt:

Technically, monks do have a form of interrupt, it's called Signet of Judgement.

Phreakilla's way is probably easier, but if you want to lose Shield for Signet to interrupt the ettins, go right ahead...then again, what class besides monk doesn't have an interrupt?

We don't need to worry about interrupts:

Mo/N: Spinal Shivers, use a cold weapon and smack the ettin with it when they're using healing signet
Mo/Me: Ignorance
Mo/R: use a bow- Distracting Shot
Mo/W: there's like...8... just take the one that costs 5e and hit the guy with it...or use hammer and just knock them down
Mo/E: umm...Maelstrom.. **Rust**

Mo/E can probably just use Rust and follow up with a spam of ice spear... also, rust can be used to aggro the ettin, just spam ice spear after it starts attacking you.

You have to have already had them activated when they removed the quests.

Also the ettins left over from the quests if you still have it activated - seem to have stopped dropping anything. I did 3-4 runs wtih no purle or gold armors off the Luxon ettins.

Normal gold drops from the nebo ettins though...so I think they nerfasized the Luxon ettins so its fair for the people without the quest.

Or I just did ALOT of bad runs...
