Kodoku
Available from the undead swordsman boss at the end of the last mission. For the sake of avoiding spoilers, I won't say his actual name. It starts with an "R."
RepinsMirg
Yeah that Randy guys is crazy at the end.
Slade xTekno
It's an awesome skill for mobs. Back in the betas, when Skill Trainers had everything, this was the first skill I went for.
If used correctly, this attack will generate more adrenaline that almost any other skill in the game. Plus, one with a high Swordsmanship attribute will find this skill does enormous damage to mobs. Combine this with a Conjure spell for massive damage.

I've noticed though that when I attack multiple targets I do less damage then if I was attacking one target with 100 blades. I'll do a good 40 to one targe by itself, but when fighting the same thing only there being multiples of it i'll do 20 to two monsters each. Is this how it's supposed to work or have I just not explored enough with the skill?

This skill is going to be useful, it's just a shame you cannot get it until right at the end. >.<

This is a.net's secret conspiracy to get you to grind areas over and over again just so you can see what cool nifty things you can do with a new skill you never really get to use your first Time through the game...
They really need to move this skill to an earlier boss. It really seems contrary to game design to make one of the coolest skills be unavailable until you complete the game and only available on "reruns." Let's face it, the "first airing" of a show is what gets the most attention since it's new and exciting. Reruns are good in their own way and let you explore different things, but it's just not the same.

It may just be me, but doesn't this skill kind of suck? I have it, but lets compare it to it's axe counter-part "cyclone axe"
1. First and foremost you will notice that cyclone axe is not elite which is a huge turn off for hundred blades.
2. The recharge time on cylcone axe is half that of hundred blades. If you have a zealous hilt and indend on using the skill frequently, this has the obvious advantage.
3. Hundred blades: Foes adjacent to your target, Cyclone axe: Foes adjacent to you. Don't know about you, but I've never hit more than 2 monsters with hundred blades. Cyclone axe simply hits more stuff.
4. 2 hits vs +10 damage. Yes, the 2 hits is quite nice. But when you take into consideration all the above factors, it really doesn't make a difference. The fact that you wont hit as much with hundred blades completely negates the whole 2 hits thing.
Of course thats just my opinion. And the other skills for each weapon may influence you to use one over the other dispite which one is better. If you have a combo with this skill, great for you, but in most cases I think cyclone axe would do the job better.

Guys, its not to dmg, it's to charge up your adrenaline fast. And for 5 energy, it does.
Rieselle
Does the skill swing twice at target, and also swing twice at each foe adjacent to target?
Or does it swing twice at target, and only once at each foe adjacent to target?

Van the Warrior
its like you hit the middle guy and the dude on the left and right get clipped...other than that its uselss it doesnt even have damage modifiers.....and that is why Prince Rurik has it.............................................ins tead of another potentially cool looking boss

Similar skills like it (e.g. Dual Shot) usually have a damage penalty (75% damage for each hit). The fact that Hundred Blades doesn't have a damage modifier is a plus. The "damage modifier" is you do double damage, plus you do it to everyone in the area. It's like an insanely good combination of Dual Shot and Cyclone Axe all in one. Warrior PBAoE. It also at minimum doubles your benefit from Conjure element, a Zealous hilt, etc, and at minimum you get double adrenaline. That's assuming you're just hitting a single target -- if you hit multiple targets, say your target at the guy next him, you're getting four times the energy, four times the adrenaline, and doing four times the damage. Three targets, sixfold benefit, etc. If you hit N targets, you get N*2 benefit from whatever buffs you have that trigger on hits, as well as N*2 times as much damage as normal.

Yes this skill deal nice dmg if u bring it all the way back to areas before shiverpeak however when dealing with lvl 24 + mobs or Armoured mobs, its quite a useless skill in dealing dmg.. other than gaining adrenaline.
In my opinion, as an elite skill, its very inferior to cyclone axe.
After trying both out, i find that cyclone axe does a lot more dmg, since cooldown is 4, and hundred blades is 8, furthermore hitting enemy adjacent to myself proves to be of better use rather than hitting enemy adjacent of the enemy u hit.
Another thing is that hundred blades is an elite from the Last mission -_- ... I can't find out how it is good vs high foes since it doesn't deal twice normal damage but it deal twice reduced dmg ..

With every hit you have the chance for a critical hit, right? So potentially a very good damage output!

Doing double damage against your target is far more useful than doing +10 damage, I find. It's the most useful sword attack you can get, for the same reasons Dual Shot is the most useful bow attack you can get, except moreso since it doesn't have the 75% penalty. The fact that you can also hit multiple targets with it is very nice as well, but not as useful in general. Cyclone Axe isn't a bad skill, but how often do you find yourself using it against a single opponent? It's just not as useful in general as Hundred Blades. The circumstances where it would be useful are relatively rare. Quote:
