Swarnt Brightstar
Thank you! Hey does SWG happen to have monthly fee's? I might get it since I'm a large star wars fan
toastgodsupreme
I'm a Mo/W. Armored Monk = Armored Monkey (cause monkey is more fun than monk)
C-Tzar
I've never tried SWG, but I can't recall ever hearing anyone say anything positive about it.

WeiPing
Wei Ping sounded like a cool online game. I just invented it with it a few years back after watching a lot of Jet Li movies.
My other names in the game are Flea Ping, Pei Ping, and Li Ping.

Adaria
I'd have it but yes it does have monthly fees...
I love Star Wars, my dad watched the first one ' A new Hope' ten times when it came out, and I've grown up with it.
Ahem, ignoring the comment about Star Wars...
I want to try SWG But I'm... cheap, as far as monthly fee games go, I'd feel as though I am not getting my money's worth if I dont play it every day...
MxO = Matrix Online, would be kickarse to try too, too bad its pay to play as well -_-;
ANYWAY, back to the main topic and I like the Armoured Monkey, XD cute.

Parias The Great (W/Mo)
Parias is the cleric character's name in HeXen (one of my favorite old-school games) and I've used it in every RPG I've played. "The Great" was added because I couldn't think of anything else

As for my character name... At the moment I'm playing a female warrior called Eudora Euridice. Both Greek names, Eudora meaning Honoured Gift and Euridice meaning Justice.
I figured Eudora Euridice = Honoured Gift Of Justice, and thought that it would be a great name for a warrior.
Perishiko ReLLiK
I normaly have a "tag" on my characters, such as -- Perishiko...
It stands for "Perish in kind oblivion." i was asigned this name from a game i palyed a Really long time ago... some war game, and i decided to make my own meaning for it, and i've stood by it for every game i play.

SWG is an MMO with AMAZING amounts of potential. Unfortunately, as soon as SOE decided they wanted to release EQ2, they took all their best programmers away from SWG to design their cashcow sequel. I've never played EQ, so I might be a little harsh, but I'm convince this is why they screwed up my game.
I played SWG off and on for about 2 years and met some great people. (That's how my guild formed, but it's another story.) I don't blame SOE for all of it's problems, because I'm certain they bit off more than they could chew. We all know how rabid SW fans can be. I really think their original concept of the game could have been the BEST MMO ever, but they wound up trying to cater to too many people in too many directions and the whole thing blew up in their face.
The game started off fairly well, with some bugs and content still ingame, but promises of fixes, etc. to come soon. A lot of those still haven't been implemented. It has suffered the usual UBER/l337/grinding/griefing problems and the changes they have made only made it worse.
Before I go off on a major rant/tangent, yes it costs $15 per month per character. If you are a SW fan, you might like it for a while because admittedly being in the SW universe is a lot of fun. However, you'll get bored and frustrated pretty quickly.
Lastly, DO NOT believe the commercials you see on TV. Most of them show you playing a jedi character. While playing a jedi character is possible, the timeframe of the game is after A New Hope and before Empire Strikes Back. There really should be no jedi. SOE has made this possible and of course, everyone wants a jedi character. Because of this, they have made it EXCRUCIATING to play and level up a jedi character. I never played one, but all my friends with a jedi say it is the reason they are leaving the game. They recommend KOTOR if you want to play with a lightsaber.
*whew* OK, I'm done now. PM me if you have any other questions.
Lasher Dragon
I was given the nickname Lasher from the wife of a friend of mine, she said I resembled Lasher from "The Witching Hour" series by Anne Rice. Dragon is my Chinese zodiac sign.
Darksci
Jonna Dark - from N64 Perfect Dark
I just loved that game.

1.) The whole game is buggy as hell, a lot of crap has been bugged since launch (Warren anyone?) and they recently released a "combat upgrade" in a state unchanged from what it was on the beta servers.
2.) The whole game is nothing like Star Wars. Period. If you want to play a Star Wars game, play any game that's not this. It has stormtroopers, but it's simply not Star Wars. Anyone who says otherwise is just kidding themselves.
3.) The whole game is a horrible grind, and is more like a job than a game.

Xeuro
Xeur04 was my school password from last year, change the 0 to o and drop the 4, boom u got Xeuro. I'm so talented.

I don't disagree with you Principa. I'm just more of an optimist.
Rahne Sinclaire
My name is an X-man named Rahne Sinclaire, AKA Wolfsbane! I initially chose this name (Just Rahne) in FFXI because I had picked a character that looked like her from X-Men Evolution...
And when I game to GW, I just decided to keep it. So the name stuck with me.
Edit: Also, my Necromancer's name, Miyu Miyuu, is from a movie called Ichi the Killer.

Naia De Alvarie R/Me - Alvarie is German roughly translated to 'army of elves'. The De is more or less a French construction, meaning 'of', or 'of the', and should really be D', but no symbols allowed . So loosely, Naia of the army of elves. I think it has kind of a nice ring.
DeLucky
All my characters have a last name of DeLucky. It comes from my (surprise, surprise) D&D days. I had an Illusionist who always got into trouble and was more times than not lucky enough to get out of it. The DM called me Miranda the Lucky, which morphed into DeLucky and all my RPG style characters (Diablo, NeverWinter Nights, Guild Wars...) reflect the name. The other indicator is the first name begins with M, no real significance to that other than to keep a theme.
Echo Eternal
Echo Eternal - probably self evident. I enjoy the greek myth of Echo and Narcissus. Echo's punishment for talking too much was to be forced to only repeat what someone else said. She came across Narcissus, fell in love with him, and yearned to tell him so. When he saw his own reflection in the water and vainly said "I love you," Echo quickly repeated it back to him. He thought the reflection spoke back to him and stood there until he died. She, devasted, also slowly faded away.
This Echo, however, will not fade away. Hence, Eternal, which has a nice catch and meaning when otherwise meshed with Echo.

My chars names are:
Alamos Undomiel: Alamos being pretty much a nice-sounding name, and Undomiel meaning "Evenstar" in elvish.
Valandil Carnesir: My name + surname translated into elvish using a Name generator.
Kitsune Torinasu: Kitsune means "Fox" in japanese, and Torinasu roughly translates into "smooth".
Rei Mononoke: a mixture of Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Princess Mononoke from the name-giving movie.

Mithrades is the name of some old Greek I Believe. Istari is the order of Wizards from LOTR where Gandalf and Saruman and Radagast and those other guys are members of, and because i thought it looked cool i placed the of between it:
Mithrades of Istari

tidu
My name, tidu is from mispelling tidus in FFX at the character name screen... and it just stuck. My full name is "Tidu the Great", because I'm not any more crteative than that
JjK
Exiled Child: My original name a year ago, I was in the Legion of Exile, so the name fitted, things have changed since then.

Blae_FeatherArrow
my main Char's name is Blade Featherarrow (I made a typing mistake when signing up for the forums lol). People always think I got it from the Blade comic book character but thats not true! I have used blade as a char name for years I use it for just about everything (if you ever see a Blade238 on anything thats me). The Featherarrow is because im a ranger. My alt is name El Destroyeroso partly cause he looks like zorro and partly cause it sounds like El Ravager from one of my fav comic books Knights of the dinner table wich can be abbreviated to KOTD wich is the tag for my guild Knights of the Dragoon. As you can see I put alot of thought into it
Teklord
This should make for a good introductory thread.
Teklord comes from the book / TV series Tekwar. Unlike the series though, I use it more to reflect my real life profession. NT/CG (Network Technician / Computer Gamer)
As for my Guild Wars charaters:
Anakin Landrunner (Mo/E) I just figured Skywalker was probably taken. Most people I've run into enjoy my little twist on the name. Also happens to be my first character.
Lord Tyr Anasazi (W/Me) Was looking for a good warrior name. Try Anasazi was taken, and my second choice Drago Museveni was also taken. Bah! Anyway, comes from Andromeda.
Vilandra Darkstar (N/R) First name comes from a TV show that never made it to its full potential: Roswell. Second name just popped into my mind.
Tess Stormcrow (R/Me) My latest character; first name also came from Roswell. And again with the second name it just popped into my mind although I have this nagging feeling that I have heard it somewhere before. Her pet cat is named Bast after the Egyptian cat Goddess.

Volarian
Well all names I create for online gaming are original from my brain -
Wa/El - Volarian Steihyl (just a good hearty Warrior name)
El/R - Cynder Burn (named for the look I gave her and the class Elemental - Raven Hair, Ice Blue eyes)

ihmurria
Ihmurria I use for pretty much everything.... created the name years ago back when I used to roleplay online with mIRC. Her last name (Skystruck) just sort of sounded right. The other two names I made up (Lidaria Verai and Ankira Cynn) because making up names is way too amusing for me
Swarnt Brightstar
I love all these names!
Can I use some for the book I'm writing!? just PM me the name, age, gender, personality, and the way the character looks.
