Serafita Kayin
Serafita Kayin is Hebrew, it's translated as "Deiceiving Fallen Angel", however, Kayin is also found in more than one language, and its Burmese and Myanmar translation (as well as a few other languages) is "celebrated child". Serafita, for the uninitiated, is not a first name, though it suffices as one, but somewhat of a cross between surname and honorific.

Koa means warrior in Hawaiian. Nokomis means moon in a local Native American language (sorry I can't recall which) Lakota?
Mostly I just like the alliteration and repeating vowel sounds when you say it.

Skado is a variotion Skadi, the norse goddess of winter and hunting.
Forseti Anubis is Forseti, the norse god of justice and Anubis, the egyptian god of the dead
Freyja Nephthys is Freyja, norse goddess of beauty and Nephthys is the egyptian goddess of death. This is a femal elementalist so it makes sense.
I just looked at my Age of Mythology manual, works great.

Arimas The Scorched (E/R): Arimas is a name I made up back in '97 when I first got on the internet. The Scorched because I'm an elementalist with red hair and the blackest skin. When I was young I discovered my power over the element of fire, but it took a while to learn how to control it.
Liandra Del Morte (N/Mo): Liandra is a first name I made up and thought sounded good. Del Morte pertaining to death as I'm a necromancer.
Alessandra Enigma (Me/?): I wanted to go with Alessandra Arcana for the alliteration but that name was already taken. In the end I think Alessandra Enigma sounds more mesmer-ish anyway. Alessandra is a very posh, stylish, high-class sort of name, just right for the way mesmers look.

Druadan Winterblade
DrĂșadan is a my real first name translated into Elvish (Sindarin mode; none of that kinslaying Quenyan traitor-tongue for me).
Winterblade is the first thing that popped into my head. Apparently Elves know their last name instinctively, so the closest I could get was to think of the first thing that came into my head.
Originally (way before GW) I had the last name Hriveyanda, which is Winterblade translated into Elvish.
No prizes for guessing that I'm a LotR freak.

in Aus we pronounce "Ceaser" as in julius or salad, (sea zer) you see when the poms started shippin us over here in chains, the convicts that had a glimpse of etiquette or Grammar were the ones that wouldnt eat half rotten oranges (for germ edumacation) so they were thrown overboard with the scurvy , hence learning any grammatical or latin in Aus is strictly correspondence only, & well correspondence requires effort... were far to laid back for that -.-

Heron Fensbanel
Heron Fensbanel:
While I was waiting for Guild Wars to get here in the mail, I decided to start a Neverwinter Nights game to pass the time. So I created a Cleric and was clicking the name generator button when "Heron Fensbannal" came up. I thought "wow, this is the PERFECT name for a ranger!" (Ranger being the primary I had settled on after reading about Guild Wars) So Guild Wars arrived and I tried to make a Ranger named "Heron Fensbanal", since I felt the extra "n" at the end made it too long. Well, apparently the name filter didn't approve of a name with the word "anal" in it, so I changed it to "Heron Fensbanel" and have been satisfied with it ever since.
Andir Sol:
I wanted to try out an Elementalist, but since I can't just slap on a name, I stared at his face in the character selection screen until a name formed in my head. I wanted something that sounded sort of brash or arrogant, but with power behind it. I doubt that makes any sense, but I liked the name, so I stuck with it.

After I typed in my beta password and made my char I was trying to think up a name and I went upstairs to get food while thinking about a name for my char. while I was upstairs my friend commandeered my computer and typed in his name with a variation of his last..Rourick (David) Davicus, so I just used it
Willy Rockwell
I have used the name Willy Rockwell for years in the music and video business. It is an admonition, a play on words like Johnny B. Goode. "Will he rock well?" In Ground Control I shortened it to Will Rock, but then an FPS game came out with the same name. My real name is Will and middle initial is R so there is some justification for me.
Silent
Had this for about 2-3 years, it's from the name I used in an online text game which was fun but eventually became bloated because of success being bought with real money.

Nim
Nim Rodder
Well in the last RPG that I played for over a year I played an acher, so when I created him I chose the name NIMROD.
The name is from the biblical story of Nimrod and the tower of Bable. Nimrod was the greatest Archer/Hunter that ever lived, he was so great he had a city of followers. However Nimrod became arrogant, thinking he was a better hunter than God he instructed his followers to construct a very tall tower that reached close to heaven, he then stood on top, challanged God arrogantly, and shot an arrow towards heaven. Well this pissed God off pretty bad, he struck the tower and it crumbled into pieces. And just for extra punishemnt he made it so everyone spoke different languages. No one could ever understand anyone else, (hence the term to bable) so they all left Nimrod and the city of Bable, seperating and spreading thier own languages throughout the world (Biblical explanation of why there are differnet languages as well).
Thats why you have an archery equipment company named Nimrod, because Nimrod was by far, the worlds greatest archer. But it's this same story that explains why the name Nimrod is used to call someone a fool.
Which one am I?

Eshe Hiba
Eshe means life in Egyptian ( I think )
And Hiba means gift in an African language.
You might be able to guess she's a monk
Then for Ceres,
Ceres means crops, and was the name of a roman/greek goddess of harvest etc.
Thanatos means death, or was the name of the greek God who lived in the underworld.
Ceres Thanatos, meaning something like death of living. Necro
Strangely enough, I saw a monk called Thanatos something a minute ago...

Tsarmina
Tsarmiina Daekuon.
I reg'd to my first forum using the name Tsarmina, from the Redwall series of childrens books that not just children read.
I use several variations of the spelling... Tsarmiina, Tsarminya, Minya, for chars in this game.
Daekuon is kinda a stylized spelling of Dark One. What can I say... I'm just a little bit bad.

BlaineTog
Fr Blaine Tog S D (male E/Mo) = "Father Blaine Tog of the Society of Dwayna." Blaine Tog is my general pseudonym, and I wanted to modify it a little for my healer, so I tacked "Father" onto the front. Unfortunatelly, thats more than a little bland, so I gave him a specific order.
Tara Vimes (female W/R): I like the name "Tara" and Vimes is the last name of a character from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series (a series I highly reccommend).
Dante of Alighieri (a male Mesmer): Dante Alighieri was and awesomely cool writer, but "Dante Alighieri" was already taken.
The Lady of Pain (a female N/R): The Lady of Pain is a "character" from a D&D setting best described as the virtual hand of God (as she's quite literally the most powerful thing evar).

I have another character called Lilitu of Yendor (Lilitu being the mother of all demons, she's a necro)
And, when I make another she'll probably be called Meridian; that's the name i use for World of Warcraft, and i used it back in the day when I used to roleplay the Redwall books.. hehe..

Cross Blade
Well, Cross Blade is a name Ive used in RPGs for about 20 years. It first was my character in a game based on the graphic novels called "Elf Quest" and it followed me through D&D and just about every other paper and pencel rpg out there. then I started useing it for computer games and then fourms. unfourtantly it was unavailable inGW. so I made it my sur name(all my characters will have it for a last name, so if you see it, its probably me). the first name of my main Av is my fav. character from "Elf Quest"(Bearclaw is the father of the main Elf Quest character). my current seconed Av in named Cutter(the main Elf Quest character and son of Bearclaw)
in case your wondering, Elf Quest is my fav books and stories. if your instersted, check out their site.

My character's name is Naughty Doll. How I came up with it? Well, it sort of reflects the person I am, well kind of. I like excite in my life, I love doing fun and wild things. It's just the person I am and the first thing that popped in my head when creating my character's name was naughty. Doll symbolizes something cute and precious. I'm a little bit of both
