Just try to get in some good groups in missions and really help people out. If people like to play with you I'm sure they'll add you to your friends list.

you could join a guild. Most of the time guild members help eachother and its nice to ask a lvl 20 to help you! lol

It's sounds more like he's commenting on peoples' prejudice against his chosen build moreso than lacking the ability to make friends.

Just be helpful, and fill the roll the team needs you to fill.

Maybe it is your name? NOt quite the--"hey I am a nice guy--want to go outside of town with no one around?" message there.

Actually--this is a much harder online game to interact socially UNTIL you group. a level 7 r/n is not going to be as Needed as a monk or warrior type unfortunately.PLayers running there 2nd char will probably already have made friends--and those running the first time through probably do not know the value of a r/n like they do a monk or warrior type yet. Also--the early missions are not too hard to do solo or duo with henchman.

I would suggest just trying to hang in there some--get a little farther in the game and in levels. Guilds and friends will come--just like gold and items. Thnk of it like the first day in a new school-if you come across as annoying--you might not get friends right away. Be helpful--nice--and show your worth in how you run your char and interact in groups. those who you would like to continue to be friendly with--put on your list. Take note of the guild tags of people you interact with. Social networking is something that you need to do on your own and patience is definitely a must.

Gotta agree with the Ranger not needed in groups, they all want monks or warriors or ele. I will get someone wanting to group with me until they find out I am a ranger/mesmer. I have a guild that is willing to come back and help me (thank goodness) or I would be stuck in this game. I love my Ranger/mesmer and can handle myself fairly well....
