Inspired by this and many other threads around here, I thought I'd start a thread for people who are frustrated with the, shall we say, hit-or-miss quality of PUGs in the game. If your gamestyle fits the following description AND you're interested in teaming up with like-minded strangers, post your in-game-name (and maybe the general area in the game where you are?) here so people can add you to their friends list and maybe make a buddy or two...

You like to hammer out strategy points and skill combos BEFORE you even leave town
You like to chat during quests/missions, maybe even stopping from time to time to recharge and/or shoot the breeze and/or admire the scenery
For that matter, you love strategy and teamplay, sharing knowledge and opinions BEFORE blithely running in and aggroing mobs
You never, EVER leave a group mid-mission without warning/apology. If you have an iffy connection, you forewarn people before starting.
You're more interested in the caliber of the person at the keyboard than in the character with the sword (ie, you don't discriminate based on class or level, and are willing to try and make any combo work)
You're willing to help out lower-level players, even if there's no immediate benefit to your own character

What the heck, I'll bite.

IGN Andrea Nile, lvl 17 Nec/Mo currently specced in Blood/Curses.

Like playing with a group that can control a crowd without aggroing others needlessly, that understand the use of wells and such and can focus fire. I don't currently heal, I do carry Rebirth to extract bodies from bad situations. Currently at Bloodstone Fen.

I'm almost exactly what you described. The only problem is that my computer descides to boot me every once and a while with no warning, besides that i'm good.

I have 3 alts of varying levels, all with the last name Gherin. I don't mind doing earlier missions at all, so if you really need help doing Ascension, get in contact with me and I'll grab my mesmer and we'll get it done, no problem. I'm a firm believer that ANY group combo can work, even without a healer.

I'm currently in Pre-Sear with my main but I'll be in Post-Sear within the next 48 hours I think. I currently have 2 characters (prolly will stay that way for a bit) and feel welcome to whisper me. I play European but will gladly go international.

Already finished all of the missions, but like repeating content and enjoy finding new things. I enjoyed the content the first time through, and have repeated many missions just for the fun of it, including dessimating the entire Charr invasion force during the Great Northern Wall mission.

I'm also willing to replay pre-searing in case anyone is interested in doing that. Willing to help people through the ascension missions.

Incidentally, the only missions I couldn't complete only with henchmen were Thirsty River and Thunderhead Keep. However, those henchmen don't chat much

Sounds great! I'm pretty new - I played one of every character, deleting as needed, through Pre-Searing until settling on the first one I played to continue with. She's a Me/Mo, currently level 17, stuck after being wiped twice on The Wilds with henchmen and once losing due to a disconnect.

The name's Mesmerelda Copafeel, and I created a guild early on for the people who frequent my company's forums... however, it turns out only one of them has Guild Wars, so it's a very lonely guild (but I spent the bucks on a cape anyway!). If you're the type who posted in this thread, have a sense of humor, and a love for spelling out words in their entirety rather than sounding like you're IMing on a cell phone, I'd love to have you in my clan. Any class, any level, whatever, it's all fun. I would love to build up a group of intelligent people who aren't hung up on "n00bz" and getting their testosterone in an uproar over who aggro'd what. I don't care about maxing out the perfect character and destroying all in PvP, just looking to have a nice break.

Santa Clause is a W/Mo who already beat the game mostly with henchies because the reasons in the first post. I move arround my skills points a lot but I always carry Full Res, Mending (+4 health regen), Some healing spell (Healing Breeze, Heal Party, Orsion, or Heal other) and Increased attack rate skill for the +15% damage while in a stance. Still need to explore some areas but some of the later areas are difficult with henchies.

Mrs Santa is a Ele/Me who just went to post searing last night. Just cleaned house in pre-searing getting a bunch more loot than the first trip with santa (6 dyes 2 plat Vs. 1 dye 0.5 plat did all quests both times)

Sounds like a good guild charter. Where do I sign up?

Anyway, my character is a level 20 Necro/Ranger named Eldric Stormhammer. I just recently ascended and will be tackling the Dragon's Lair mission in the next few days.

I'm looking you up tonight. Just tried that mission last night too, and even though my PUG was surprisingly good, we had no idea what we were doing and lost when the Mantle got the teleporter.

Hopefully you won't have completed it by the time I find you...

I love it! That list is a bullseye for how I am. Usually peeps get ticked when I want to talk stratagy, and "hold" them up. I usually am playing either alone, or with a few of my guildmates. Mainly due to the problems already discussed. Also, some quests I like to do myself just for fun. However, I do enjoy a good team who works together and communicates!
