The guy who said the 15k Druid set is a bug.... no its not. The game is working perfectly fine. The Druid set's graphics havent' been updated, and I'm not sure when they plan on doing it, but as far as I know, you will have to rebuy it. Lots of people have made this mistake. Cmon people, LOOK at the little icons before you buy it. The icons are the exact same, then the armor is going to be the same. I've gone with the 15k Drakescale, and I can say that it looks great without dye. Maybe I can get a screenie up soon, for those of you who haven't seen it.

Scurtiz, I don't think you'll have to rebuy it. the armor loads every time your sprite is redrawn in an area. If a patch fixes the armor, it'll pull up the current data that corresponds to the graphical draw commands(not very technical, but trying to sound like it) and draw the new piece.

Look, the way items works is they have an ID.
Let's say the Droknar Tormentor's Armor is Item #7281, while the 15k version is Item #7282 (I know they are different items, since they have a different value).
Not, each item ID has a pointer, which points to the location in the data library, which contains the mesh/inventory icon. Currently, the 1.5k and 15k Tormentor points to the same location.
However, once ANet upload the data library to contain a mesh for the 15k Tormentor's, they just find Item #7282, and change it's inventory icon/mesh pointer to match with the new mesh/inventory icon.
Simple, really.

This is the 15k male Ranger Drakescale set, as has been shown before, but dyed purple, and then green over the purple. (not sure if that mattered, heh)

I want to make a section at my site about 15k armors, pictures and what it costs to buy it AND where it is located.
We all know how much it costs but i even mean the avg. costs of materials as if you had none and bought it all, obviously the warrior will have the most expensive and coolest, the elemental while super powerful has kinda weak armor in looks as it really only has new texture design, and not by much.
I want you ppl who have this ascension armor to e-mail me at [email protected]

hmmm, well, i dont mind it being merged but ummmm, my main topic is now at the end and people wont see what i need for the project. I want as many people with as much variety as possible to send stuff to me....Pics, Where you got it, Total cost in gold and materials, cost in gold for total materials needed as if you had none of the materials. Bleh I think I need to get this armor because my Necro looks just silly cuz I went ahead and used Scar patterns to get the +energy benefits. Now I have a naked body-modded Necro in a cape running around...(And it cost me a ton because I had to buy like 150 parchments!

Also, keep in mind male AND female sets for each class, so you're really looking at 48 total

I dyed my 15k Plate black and it looks crap. I mean come on you would think if you dyed your armour black that it would not come out dark grey. Especially considering the price of Black Dye these days.
Gold and Silver on 15k look so much better.
But for some reason Black just looks like a dark grey instead of the coloured areas being a nice rich black.

You have to consider the base color of the armor. You do know that most armors are pre-colored, right? So anything you add will go on top of the old color, right?

Yeah, the coloring system is a little odd. Before they put the necromancer tunic in presearing ascalon, I had the ugly green tunic with everything else red. I used dye remover in the tunic.. and it turned red to match my other stuff

But that does not explain why gold and silver turn out so well. Like the silver coloured 15k plate looks really nice, you would think that if lighter colours work so well that a darker colour would work even better.

Does anyone have a screenie of a 15k armor dyed all silver?
I have 5 black dyes right now and I might use them all for my set.
I'll post pictures of myself right now. I want black mostly because it makes me look very uniform (I use a shadow shield),
