I find most 15k armors look terrible dyed black. You end up losing a lot of detail, to the point where you can barely even tell it was 15k in the first place. There are exceptions, though, such as the ranger's studded armor. The non-dyed portions are silver tone, so it looks good with the black. On the other hand, mesmer rogue's armor has black for the non-dyed portions, losing almost all detail.

Question about 15k armour. When you create a PvP char, does it only become available after you've reached it in the story line? I've just gone searching into the PvP creation bit and the armour available is equivalent to the 1500 (which is where i am in the storyline). And are the differences between 1500 and 15000 noticable (i didn't see any on my pyromancer for the past 2 upgrades). I did see that the 15000 pyromancer leggings are different though (The legs had fishnets, 1500 and bellow are bare and the part that dyes was differently shaped or something).

I'm another poor soul who bought the druid's vest for 15k. It was the most money I had ever had, and now I have the same armor that I had in the first place. I will just save it in my storage, and with any luck, an update will fix the graphics on it. I was absolutely crushed when I put on my new 15k armor only to find that it looks exactly the same as the 1.5k armor.
And you people saying "why didn't you look at the little picture before buying it?" I sure as hell can't tell by that little tiny icon if the armor looks any different or not, so let's beg for anet to fix this rather than giving us folks with small monitors a hard time.

As far as I'm aware you cannot build a PvP character with the special 15k armours.

I've been to Fow and UW a few times. Beat the quest where you protect the tower but had to go to sleep after that.
My question is, is there a difference between the armor in FoW and Granite Citadel? It is hard to find out about anything in fow or uw.

It's easy to find the information if you know how to look.
Droknar's 1.5k, Granite & Grotto 15k and Fissure 15k all have the same stats, but look different.

I have not reached Granite Citadel yet (presuming that is where all these amazing armors have come from...right?), so I went around Lion's Arch asking people if I could take screens of them with cool armors on.

Another question about the armour. I know that one version is split up between the citadel and grotto (you can only get 2 elementalist classes in citadel and the other 2 in grotto). Is it the same with FoW and UW? Or can you get all of them in both places and they all look different?

All Fissure armor looks the same, regardless of the type. Each class has one "look". There's not a crafter in the Underworld on the public servers that I am aware of.
