Dye Charts [MERGED]

What it means is, if you dye the axe silver, it glows more on the outside. Givving it a bright fuzzy look. Dying it black will make it glow more on the inside making it look more concentrated.

I think these charts are a little too confusing. Cant you just have red+necro scar=pink or something?

From the Chaos Axe color chart, it looks like I have to mix a Purple and Blue dye to get a 'gold' color.
Someone can confirm this?
Thanks.

Well given the current dye skyrocket in prices, i wont be doing any more experiments on my axe
raven214
I saw a chart somewhere that suggests the order in which you mix dyes affects the resulting color.
Ex:
blue + green = A
green + blue = B
Is this true?

I want a yellow necro scar to go with my yellow necrotic armor. I think I need turquoise for this. Can anyone confirm?

don't forget to take into account the enviroment lighting, some colors look a bit different in some areas depending on the reflection of the sky and lighting, sorta like in ouposts 15k platemail armor looks like crap, but outside it's very detailed, you'll never get a black chaos axe, and you'll never get white tattoo patterns, tho wtf is INK used for...nothing i can see as of yet as tattoo's are done with INK not DYE in the real world and i cannot see any other use for INK.
Black on a nec gives you black, mine has all black from adding black.
not sure if u can get yellow on a nec, seems the face scarr default color is purple.
:::End Transmission:::

Also the Blue+Purple and Purple+Blue both give you the same color, a medium purple/bluish color not Dark Blue as stated.
Is it the actual color of the armor thats causing these deviations? for instance the armor I dyed was a light brown (15k saintly monk)
P.S. I used dye remover on the armor before I dyed

Crimson Silver has little to no effect on Tatoo Armor for monk.

I am confused. How do yellow blue and purple make Light Pink. Has anybody tried this? o.O

I've just mixed what is supposedly lite pink it and stuck it on my monk -_-;;
Nothing has happened except a unnoticable darker color.
You can barely notice the change and it is NOT lite pink >.<

i want to dye my pyromancer armor lime green, anyone know the combination? and if it actually looks like lime green on the armor? i read all the posts in this thread and turns out that the dye color usually isnt the same when applied, so, im asking for a definate, if anyone knows.
Rossaroni
Try Green + Green + Silver? Green + Silver will get you a sort of minty green I'd think, so if you added more green, you might get...lime green?

i dont understtand how to use this wholethong, can someone explain how to please?

It's pretty simple:
The outer circle is the dye you will use to get the color you want (inner circle).
ie: If you want to dye your Necro scar in red, you need a green dye.
Or if you want to dye the scar in purple, you'll need a yellow-orange mix.
Same thing for the Chaos Axe:
If you want to dye yours in red, simply dye it with blue.
*Although the Silver dye on the CA won't give you Black.

Hello, I started to buy my 15k enchanters armor a few hours ago (only 2 pieces so far), but the other dye charts in this thread didn't really seem reliable to me.
So I decided to do my own testing by mixing colours in Photoshop using the blending modes. After compairing the various blending options I decided that 'Overlay' resulted in the most sensible/realistic combination. So I made one layer of green over a layer of blue, then I changed the blending mode to overlay and I got a teal colour. That just happened to be the colour I was going for, so I bought a green and blue dye from the dye trader and applied the green dye to the blue dye - just how I did in Photoshop, I then applied the dye to my shirt and to my pleasent surprise it turned into the colour I mixed in Photoshop.
So going by that experiment, I made a complete chart consisting of 64 colours in total (not including default colours), whereby each dye is mixed with every other dye once.
I've uploaded the table to my website so you can all use it and hopefully provide feedback and your own results. Please be aware that this chart is almost completely theoretical, and the colours may not appear identical in-game.
If you have a browser that is better than IE, go here:
http://www.estorm.com.au/gallery/gwcolours/chart.htm
If you're using Internet Explorer, you can view the chart here:
http://www.estorm.com.au/gallery/gwcolours/ie.htm
In any browser other than IE, search for a colour you like, then move your mouse pointer over the colour, the combination for that colour will be displayed.

Thank you for the link to the complete chart. I screwed up my monk's tan tats trying to get them lighter. I was able to fix him back using that chart.

lime green is green+yellow+green+another green
maraxusofk
Hey cunning, awesome chart u got there. I really like how i was able to see that mixing black with black gets u ultra black. Oh, frog, props on your awesome chart too.
DergeDraconis
So silver+silver almost nets white dye, unless my brightness/contrast is off.

I would be interested to see how accurate my predictions are though.

Has anyone tried the silver - Black glowing axe after using dye remover to clear it first?

I believe the "white dye" you see on this monk is actually silver dye. The reason it looks white is because the skin color of the monk is dark so when you apply silver dye to the monk tatoos, the color appears white. I've tested this out - my pve monk has light skin with silver dyed CHEST tatoos; my pvp monk has dark skin and silver dyed CHEST tatoos also....notice the difference in color even though I used the same dye color.

Did the same thing... I've wasted SO much dye trying to find out how to dye it pink... It would be easier if you have a vial of dye thats a specific color.. then your armor/Tatt's or whatever will turn out to be the same color as the color it is in the vial... It's rediculous and I wish they would change it!!!
Wotan
Anybody know the mixture for White Dye?
RyuuTenshi
It seems like the dyes don't always colour your armour correctly. I got the crimsom silver for my pyromancer armour, but when I put dyed it, it wasn't even red! My armour ended up blue with a hint of green. Lucky for me, I liked the colour or else I would've wasted a lot of gold. Anet should change it so the dyed armour comes out relatively the same colour as the dye.

Hey does anyone know how to make white dye im tryin to find out so i can put it on my 15k armor for my ranger lata Virg
P.S or anything that looks similar.(besides just plain silver dye)

Does anyone know how to make perfectly skin blended dye, cuz the monk tatoos are gay and i want to make them transparent so it looks like i have nothing on =D

Now have every 3 Dye mix, all used on Monk wanderer's Armor.
Dye Chart All Possible 2 and 3 Dye Mixes.
Monk Armor Dyed with the Black + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Blue + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Green + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Orange + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Purple + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Red + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Silver + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Yellow + 2 Dye Mixes
Monk Armor Dyed with the Dye Remover + 2 Dye Mixes
Note: The order in which you combine the Dyes does not effect the outcome of the Color. Red+Blue will give you the same color as Blue+Red; and Blue+Orange+Green is the same is Blue+Green+Orange. I assume this to also be true for the 4 Dye mixes, but I have yet to test it.
I hope to eventually add the Black Dye mixes, but they are kind of expensive so it will be some time before I have enough gold saved to buy all those Black Dyes.

Hello,
please - can anybody help me, cause I'm getting seriously frustrated now.
I tried many combinations of blue, green and silver, to get a really bright and shiny turquoise for my monk fissure armor. But I must say: I failed...
I've seen the colour on different screenshots but even the colour table in this Thread doesn't help me getting to it. Please if there's anybody out there who knows how to get this bright turquoise - help me...
