Do the colors mix true with the dyes? I seem to recall that mixing the three primary colors (Red, blue, yellow) would give you black (unlike light, which gives white), however when I tried it I got.. well, shmeg. Oh wait... on reflection, I think I did red/blue/green... hmm, will have to try that again... So, without having tried further myself as of yet, does anyone know if colors mix true? Does red and yellow, for example, give orange?

If so, r/b/y should give you black... may not be labelled as black, but should look the same...

I have been told that the colors work on the light system when it comes to over laying colors, but I am unsure when mixing them.

Light system, eh? Wouldn't that be something... blue/red/yellow mix would give you white dye.

Hmm... that could be fun...

England.

Dyes mix in the same way colours on your computer screen mix, not in the way paints mix. I hope this helps.

RBY gives you brown, as RB gives purple and PY gives brown. I'm not sure, however, about other permutations like RYB or BYR, etc.

AH, how depressing. Thanks for the link, though, very helpful for a non-intuitive process.

Well, there go my dreams of white dye. I could have made a fortune... ;-)

Silver dye is pretty much white, though.

The primary colors of Light are Blue, Red, and Green.
The primary colors of Pigment are Blue, Red, and Yellow.

When you mix the primaries of light you get White light, take them away and you get Black.

When you mix the primaries of Pigment you`ll get Brown. Black and White are NOT pigment colors. White is a tint and Black is a tone.

Now as to how the colors mix is Guild Wars is befuddling.

They're thinking about adding in more colours for dye in the next update. (one of them white if I remember correctly)
