Hey, I bought this game about a week or so ago, it's pretty fun. But it also seems harder than most
other MMORPGs. I asked on a message board what a good beginner class was and they said to go with a W/Mo
first, so I did. So I was wondering if there's any good W/Mo builds or tips for a beginner W/Mo that
uses swords, or if there's something better I should try. Here's some stats on my character:
Tayenias Silkflight
Warrior/Monk Level 11
Attributes:
Healing Prayers - 4
Smiting Prayers - 0
Protection Prayers - 0
Strength - 5
Axe Mastery - 0
Hammer Mastery - 0
Swordsmanship - 7
Tactics - 0
Skills:
Ressurection Signet
For Great Justice!
Watch Yourself!
Cyclone Axe
Dismember
Disrupting Chop
Executioner's Strike
Frenzy
Gash
Hammer Bash
Healing Signet
Mighty Blow
Power Attack
Sever Artery
Sprint
Wary Stance
Wild Blow
Bane Signet

Guardian
Healing Breeze
Judge's Insight

Orison Of Healing

Reversal Of Fortune
Shielding Hands
Symbol Of Wrath
Can someone help me out here and guide me in a right direction? I have no idea what the hell I'm doing really. When I'm in battle, I use FGJ before I'm right up on the enemy and then keep doing Sever Artery+Gash, and Power Attack. My healing powers don't really seem good enough to help. I still die often though. Can someone give me some tips?
Ok, total noob here

your attack is fine. one thing you wanna do is don't charge into a lot of mobs at the same time. take them one by one, or two by two. You sure is a tank, but there is no way you can win a 10 on 1 battle.

Healing Breeze
Rez Signet
Get healing attribute up ASAP. Delay strength attribute points until you do so.
Run mending enchant for +3 life regen (req. 8 heal I think)
Get healing breeze to +7 regen ASAP. This skill works wonders early in the game. (+10 regen is max you can carry)
Spam frenzy, sever and gash.
Run away when necessary.
Bring rez spell or signet for party friendly fun.
Get to Beetltun ASAP to train Galrath Slash.
PS. Newb is new to the game. Noob is a moron.
Have fun

I agree with Smitty. Get you Heal up a bit. The job of a W/Mo is to tank and keep him self alive. You don't have the energy to do the group much good, but you can keep your self very well taken care of.

I ran clear to Lion's Arch with my Wa/Mo only using sword and str. It worked pretty well, just always carried a monk or the monk henchie for healing concerns. Just meant I only equiped sword or strength skills and maybe a rez sig depending. It wasn't until Lion's Arch that I started using my third attribute. This was Protection Prayers. I am a warrior, my job is meatshield, so that is why went protection. Healing prayers get in the way when your job is to draw the aggro. This allowed me to drop some of the strength skills for things like shielding hands, which makes you near invulnerable for 10 secs. Dropping some of the strength skills from my bar didn't hurt because you still get armor penetration from it. Don't let others fool you saying that you cant use a shield unless you go tactics, there are strength shields out there and the armor penetration is nice. As above, us frenzy when you can it helps but if health becomes a concern watch your use of it.
