Money, Money, Money

This game is killing me every time i find a good farming spot it is taken from me. Not only that but to get the best items in the game or to buy runes to unlock takes something like a good 50k. I can no longer find runes easily in riverside anymore and i need to unlock them. I can't afford anything in this game and it is so aggravating to see guys with 800k who flaunt their money around and buy anything they damn well please. I need to know how to make money something legitimate, a leftover farming spot they haven't nerfed, anything! Please help me and if you are worried they will catch it and nerf it PM me. Please this is killing me.

If you're trying to unlock stuff, go the GvG pvp route and collect faction. It's very quick. If your guild is even remotely skilled, you could probably unlock 2 - 3 superiors / night depending on how many battles you fight and win.

Yeah if you havn't found out about faction in the update, you now gain it from killing opponents in arenas, tombs, and gvg.

I know about the faction update, but what about in pve are there any effective ways of gaining money or runes anymore?n What is a good place for runes or a good place for weapon mods. I have been trying pvp but as of now gvg just isn't an option our guild is still getting itself off the ground.

just by PLAYING the game and NOT farming i have manage to get some top rate items, about 100 plat and loads of runes. Try playing MORE and grinding less.

Just exploring everything is a nice way too have I discovered. I like to have a fully explored map some day, and when I'm trying to explore some new parts I'll find many items If you can solo the parts you're exploring, the money is even getting in more quickly

Hmm i suppose i could explore rather than just grinding away. Are there any nice spots that you have found while exploring because both my first and second time playing through the game i have yet to find any really good drops.

No one is going to announce where they farm, no one smart anyway. You want to keep it secret to KEEP it from being nerfed.

I've made 20k in gold/useless items I sold to merchants today as well as half a stash full of gold and purple items/salvageable that I need to sell to people.

I hear people are farming ettins but I've never tried that.

You might want to try sanctum cay but it would be hard. From what I can tell, at the end of the mission by the bonus (little past the dock) there is a chest. I've opened that chest 3 times and everytime it contained a gold crystalline sword. I never got it but I thought it might be viable. I was never able to get their solo though and it was rather time consuming.

Still though if you get 1 max damage one you've got yourself 150k+ right there.

I used to farm those, but they got a major swing to the face with the nerf bat.

After the nerfing of the entertaining farming areas, I have found helping people through Thirsty River mission is getting me more rune drops than i seem to find elsewhere.

Farming makes more money then grinding. You used to be able to make 100k In a day or so. Of course arenet quickly resolved my farming fix.

Just roll up a new toon and go newb/noob farming in pre-searing.... The last time I went through I got 5 black dyes and I didn't pay more then 300g for any of them.

i used to farm the area outside kryta (the mergoyles) but that got a major nerf

I havent found good farming spot, but I found good UNLOCKING SPOT, I dont want to spoil it for anyone, but its somewhere in middle of mountains, someplace has chest really close to city that gives out a lot of MAX DAMAGE ITEMS that are blue, with really good stuff on it. Heres a hint, nice looking armor very expensive.

I've found Ettins have a good drop rate for runes. If you are looking to unlock, head east out of Beetletun. Fight a few mergoyles and then you come to 8-12 ettins. Sell waht runes/weapons you dont need for cash... Anet semi nerfed this area, but the ettins are still there...

Well those Ettins sometimes it works, but mostly u cant find gold/purple or runes more.

I killed once 5 at same time, and guess what nope items.And Gates ofKr. are for lv15 Players. So it depends what lvl u are.

What is "Nerfed".... Is that when some place that was good for farming is all dried up. Or is it kinda like going draking for drops and they start droping crap cause u have gone there to much.... just wondering.

These are all good ides im going to try except for the noob farmin one where you gho to presear and trade noobs 300 g for black dye. That is downright wrong and personally I don't care but there are just not enough noobish players in the game for that to work. Also ya they screwed the ettins and my dam place at riverside province.

if u want runes go get some level 20 henchies from draks and head out into wits and let the henchies kill all the level 22 grawl they drop a lot of runes mostly minor and major but sometimes superiors
they dont drop many good weapons though
