What's the big deal? When I was 14, I was out buying games like Metal Gear Solid and getting R-Rated movies. Just because you're 14 doesn't mean you can't watch/play those higher-rated games

That's why you go behind their backs. Find a friend who can drive, and if they ever ask if you're playing a new game, say no and act offended that they don't know what games you play.

I am just not that kinda guy sadly. And my parents would know if it was a new game because I usually play x-box not pc.

Actually, lately there's been a crack down on stores who sell M and A rated games to minors. I myself have been getting carded every time I try to purchase an M rated game...and even though they know me at the EB, they still insist on doing it.

Ratings are actually a good thing. There have been parents attempting to sue Rock Star games over GTA3, this covers their butts. Some parents will use the ratng system others will buy anything their kids ask for. With ratings at least they know what kind of content a game has.

Luckily I am old enough to buy the game so it doesn't really matter.

I got carded once recently while buying a Resident Evil game for my brother. They probably wouldn't have asked for ID, but I told them the wrong age, i said I was 16 :/.

Bah, the rating system is faulty. You can see the same stuff in a M rated game as you can in a PG-13 movie

In a movie it someone else whos killing, stealing, having sex and so on. In a game "you" are the one who's doing the "unacceptable" things.

The rating system doesnt work on just what you can see, but also how long you see it. Cause there are pg-13 movies with breasts in it but you just see them more often or for longer periods of time in R/M rated.

Secondly i am 16 and have never had a problem with buying games/movies that are rated R/M due to the fact that i am 6'4 and 245lbs (pretty massive). Although i do feel they should check ID cards no matter what, really sick of parents B****ing about how there son/daughter bought a M/R rated thing, then the news get all over it and the deal is blown way outa proportion. Everything is downhill from there.

Final thing, they should make more games like online ones where they add the Label "Gameing expirience may change during play."

Just my opinion,
