I have a Ranger, Monk, and Mesmer.

Best Ranger skill is Barrage, which comes way too late in the game. Rangers are pretty ordinary pre-barrage, then become awesome post-barrage. There is a boss that has it during the searing mission, too bad there are no skill caps then.

Mesmer's best skill is easy too. Backfire, the best anti-casting skill, and available at the very beginning. Backfire, and its non-caster counterpart Empathy, are skills 1 and 2 for most mesmer builds.

Monk is very difficult. Heal Other is the profession defining skill, though Healing Breeze, Protective Spirit, and Reversal of Fortune are hugely popular as well.

Anything that uses daggars

Distracting Shot.

If it counts skills from from factions, then it's Burning Speed Otherwise, I'd have to agree with the necro skill grenths - It Splits any sort of unfairness between you and the opponent and is an excellent counterblow if you have the nice few set of skills to kill left.

Dark Apostasy. Such a badass skill, with such a badass name. Seriously... apostasy means "abondonment of the faith". I just love that name so much, kicks so much butt... also, the enchant removal spam *shudders*. Just say no to ninja prot spirit vs adrenal spike. And then afterwards beat on the ether prodigy blind turrent are ruin his day. If he thinks that spells are being aimed at him to take out the enchants and tries to reapply/cover through it...

Order of Apostasy looks kinda sick too, would need a BiPer to make it actually useable.

For me..its not about the actual usefullness of the skill always.

Monk - Prot Spirit, RoF. Never leave home without em.
Necro - Spiteful Spirit. If only because it has a kickass name.
Warrior - Sprint. Its in about every build Ive ever used..ever.
Mesmer - Ineptitude. Fun anti-war skill.
Ranger - Escape. Only because its so easy to cap.
Elementalist - Wards? They're used a lottttt.

Seriously though, Throw Dirt rocks, just not on spellcasters.

Escape has been my favourite for a while, doesn't work great with everything but for a solo build it is awesome. i mean 75% to block or evade is great, but it also gives speed boost which is real useful in a pinch or if i'm just trying to get to an area and want to save time/bypass some annoying mobs

Elementalist: Blinding Flash. What ele is complete without it?
Ranger: Cripple shot. Perfect for when you need to slow a target down.
Mesmer: Blackout
Monk: Divine Boon
Necro: None
Warrior: Eviscerate

Power Block -nothing like shutting down a monk's entire healing attribute for 16 sec:P Plus whenever i manage to get the block off i always laugh manically. Made a lot of people drop out of combat because of this.
