Many Many people seem to find it easy farming ettins with a warrior....but you do now definetly pull out the maximum benefit of the armors. With this build i pull an average of 3 GOLDS A RUN NO LIE!! Yesterday in 3 runs i have 10 gold unid armors in my inventory. Although this build is kinda risky it is most definetly worth it. I have been running this build for about 3 weeks and have come buy 12 Sup Absorbtions and 13 Sup Vigors And all 5 sup monk runes.
The build is as follows:
Perfession: Mo/W
Skills: This build is refeered to as the 0 energy build because you will have no energy!
Mending
Watchful Spirit
Retribution
Holy Wrath
Blessed Sig
Sprint
SoJ
Signet Of Devotion
Armor: SCARS SCARS SCARS FTW that all im gonna say
Runes for this should be as followed
Have 2 sets of armor... Put on a piece of armor when you first exit from the portal and put on mending then you can remove the rune. You should have a sup divine favor and a sup smiting rune on all the time!
Now for this build its pretty simple. Leave from bergen and turn left and head to AScalon Settlement when you enter nebo terrace turn to the left and move that way til you see some ettins. Put on your sup healing and use mending then remove. Now put on watchful spirit and retribution and holy wrath and then use blessed sig to make sure you have 15 energy. Now agrro the ettins and BEFORE they hit you use SoJ.. WIth soj Retribution and Holy wrath everytime they use Iresitable BLow they take up to 100 Dmg and Melle about 80. USE SIGNET OG DEVOTION WHENEVER YOU CAN TO KEEP HEALTH UP! Now when SoJ ends maybe one of the 3 or 2 of them will be dead. WAit for the Recharge of soj And when it is recharged remove Holy wrath ANd use blessed sig. U need to do this because you lose 10 energy everytime you are hit with holy wrath. Now when you use blessed enough until you have 25 energy reapply Soj Then Holy Wrath. This should finish off the straglers. Use sprint to run past all the bog skales because these are very annoying. This build is risky and you can only take a maximum of 3 ettins at a time but trust me Drop are very very worth it.

10 health(9+3+1) Only apply sup healing when applying mending...this should give you a plus 4 regen.
15 smiting_12+3)

You do know that this has been discussed countless times? There is nothing "Amazing" about a monk soloing ettins. Maybe if you searched around a bit more you would find that there are already a lot of well established builds for killing ettins with solo-monks.

i only know the ettins around ascalon settlement, are there more in the area then becuz i do not encounter bog scales if i rune farm ettins plz dont say im a noob, its just a question

Yes there are bog skales over by the ascalon settlement and on the way there..that is where im talking about to farm them

dude there is nothing gauranteed when they use a random drop system its just youre luck and mostly (out of my experience) the more runs you do the less drops you get

I farm Ettins with my 55 Monk, taking Disrupting Chop (or whatever that axe interrupt thing is called) to deal with Healing Signet. I believe it is slightly more efficient than your build because I don't have to do all that armour changing (just saying). Plus I can take on many Ettins at once.

yeah why would these be better drops than with a war or necro? and do the ettins use heal sig to get through the dmg?

I remeber when I use to rune farm, use to be my main source of money before I had a 55 and I didnt use a war I used minions worked really well and I use to get at least 1 gold armor each run but I stoped doing it for a while and tried it again and I guess they nerfed drops, or I'm unlucky cause i dont get much at all anymore
 but I only did 3 runs and got tired of crap drops and never did the farm agian then I made a 55

ANY 55 build can take out the ettins... with or without an interupt...
I used to do this with my 55 nec but now I do it with my 55 monk....I run the normal 55 build Mending Balthazar's spirit Blessed Aura Bonetti's Defense Protective Spirit Healing Breeze Zealots fire Shield of Judgement{e} I usually run up, ettins see me.... and drop.... must be cuz my monk is one sexy beotch, not to mention she's half naked!

Hey undead i like that builld for my 55 monk but how do u handle shatter enchantments?
I always die with shatter i try to cover but other mesmer always shatters ps when my cover has been shattered by first one

Its kinda hard to read your post- You only have 2 sup. runes on when ur killin ettins right.
You just put on heal sup rune for +4 mending and then u take it off. *(This isnt a 55 monk is it- i didnt think so cause no ps, but i cant understand ur post that well)
