Why cannot we get a fit Assassin like the pic here and instead we settle for the skinny boney one we saw.

EDIT AFTER READING SOME OF THE POSTS HERE: The discussion at the last pages of the thread (5-6) moved to breast size. That was not the point of this thread, I was not talking about that.
My whole point is the skinny, boney body. If you look at an Assassin from the side, you can actually imagine her ouside stomach skin touching the inside of her back skin.

Also please be civil since there are ladies here among the readers of the forums.

as pointed out in a few other threats, she might look anorexic but she really is buff, she built muscler

Wow that one actually looks good. She's slender and got curves in the right places. I don't care how "buff" the female assassin is. She's still to skinny for me.

Yeah, they're way too skinny in game... doesn't matter to me so much as I don't think I'll use an assassin though, going to make a rit and keep the sixth slot for pvp.

What we saw in the FPE may not be the final graphics for the new characters.

Plus, to get an Assassin to look like that in the OP you'd need to use the new Unreal graphics engine and a very high-end graphics card.

What you see probably took weeks to draw, and if it is 3d, it took a while to render. Imagine having to rig something like that for normal gameplay. Oy.

It's just like the picture of the plump juicy burger you see when you place your order at McDonalds. When you actually get your burger it looks nothing like the picture.

It's just another marketing strategy to get you to buy the product.


Look at all the pre-release videos for guild wars prophecies and factions, then compare to the ingame cut scenes.


That assasin pic is hot.

Well, the Ritualists look VERY similar to their concept art though, I can see why people are disappointed.

Im wondering when, during the design stage did that in game art and the high-res art diverge.

I guess we blame anet's design directors.
