W/R Farming: This is truly challenging. Time for some help from the pros.

Pretty much what the thread title says. I've been trying to find an effective build for farming with a Warrior/Ranger. It's pretty darn tough, but it seems possible. I've looked everywhere for help... and I think I've tried everything. Maybe someone here is up to the challenge?

tried apply poison + cylcone axe?? heard from some1 that it is ok. havnt been able to try it myself

Apply Poison + Cyclone Axe is awesome for farming and the entire PVE storyline. EoE and Tigers Fury can help too (Tigers Fury more generally). The problem is, it lacks solo tanking skills things like W/Me with Mantras and other specific Inspiration skills and W/Mo with... Wammo skills.

Try looking for pure warrior builds....the build I run for FoW farming requires only Warrior skills

This is definitely a good start. I've found more help in these past few posts about this then I've been able to find myself in the last couple months!

I use W/R for hunting ettins.

100 blades
server artery
Gash
bonetties defence, sometimes galrath slash
apply poison
healing signet
toll ungent
sprint

pretty much u spread poisoin around those freaking ettins and when u are attacking one, u can keepa constant -8 degen on them.

Why not just change your secondary when farming, then switch back to W/R for whatever else you do. It takes all of 10 seconds to switch.

Only because finding a W/R farming build is challenging.

For Ettins this may work...
W/R Axe warrior
Sprint
Flury
Dismember [E]
Disrupting Chop
Executioners
Penetrating Blow
Apply Poison
Troll Ungent


1. Apply Poison
2. Use Flurry to build up adrenaline
3. Use Disrupting Chop when Ettin uses heal sig.
4. Release your adernaline based skills for a spike.

Anyways, never farmed Ettins with Warriors before (I don't even have one!), but wouldn't Cyclone Axe also work with Apply Poison?

A purely warrior riposite build:

1. Riposite
2. Deadly riposite
3. Pure strike
4. Distracting Blow
5. Heal sig
6. Dolyaks Sig
7. Sprint
8. Glads defense

Purely defensive...can take on 5-6 ettins no problemos (usually 3-4 in a pack). If you're a ranger you can use Tiger's Fury too. Of course hundred blades instead of glads defense is fine too guess.

Yah, ViM + apply poison is fun.
