Look i got this idea of a Necro/Mesmer,
Soul barb your target --> echo --> wastrels worry --> and then keep bombing WW. Would it be possible do you think ?

Now, the recharge time is so quick on wasterl's worry--why echo it? I think I would 3 sec combo it in to get the full effect of WW.

Wastrel's Worry - Hex Spell
After 3 seconds, target foe takes 8-53 damage. Wastrel's Worry ends prematurely if that foe uses a skill (5 - 1/4 - 1) **definately no need to echo

So Soul Barb target --> WW -- > PB --> <Life Siphon>? (or something).

I know for example if you spam pb at a target you won't get the health benefit as you continuously replace it. Same thing will happen with WW I am sure you won't get the dmg benefit of WW (3 sec expiration) if you spam it. And, 3 secs is so quick just work it in with 2 other hexes to get the full benefit and let the dmg begin.

U can go to Random Arena to try it. Soul Barb someone then Parasitic Bond him for cover and spam WW continously to trigger Soul Barbs.
I wouldn't put points in domination, instead i will try some inspiration for energy management. WW is just for triggering barbs...

I don't think WW is just for triggering soul barbs, if that were the case you could use any hex (though WW would be the fastest). What makes this a wicked concept IMO is that it triggers barbs + after3 secs it does an additional amount of dmg. Which was the point I was addressing. I've done SB and spammed the target with PB which triggered the Sould Barbs dmg. WW has the additional benefit of doing more dmg after 3 secs. But if you spam it, you would be resetting that attribute. So it would be more effective to work WW into a chain of hexes, all of which would trigger soul barbs, and all of which would be continiuous covers.

I will have to look into it some more...

So I went into RA yesterday and tried variations of the build out. I discovered that Arcane Echo really didn't work for me because it took too much energy especially in conjunction with spamming WW, and i didn't get the effects of WW only got Soul Barbs dmg. Though I did try to compensate by doing this build:

Soul Barbs
Aracne Echo
Wasterl Worry
Parasitic Bond
Ether Lord
mantra of Recall
mantra of resolve
Rez sig

basically when energy ran down which it did quickly I dropped etherlord on a spell caster and covered with PB, took a couple of seconds to get 5 energy to do this cover, so 50% of the time it was tossed before I could cover. Mantra Kicked in and i started spamming WW again.

What I had the most success with:

Soul Barbs
Wasterl's Worry
Parasitic Bond
Mind Wrack
Faint Heartedness
Rez Sig
Mantra of Recall
Manrta of Resolve

Every single match I managed to spike and kill my target, of course that didn't translate into victory every match. The longest winning streak was at 6
and that was with a team of Two Warriors + 1 Ranger and myself. So I was naturally targeted first, and with no defense I usually died, but not before I took my spiked target with me.

Worked well, fun build, I think I need to work some defense into the build for RA maybe drop mantra of recall and add signet of midnight. Sure I will then run into energy issues.

Talking of Signet of Midnight I've had loads of fun with it and plague touch.

Add in the mesmer skill that stops them from gaining adrenaline and I've been able to lock down 2-3 warriors on my own.

Granted I've not been able to kill them, but it means the other 3 in your team can all go after the enemy monk without worrying about the warriors.

I just created this build on my own aswell, coincidence or not, I used echo aswell for WW And along with it I used channeling to help with the energy. Now if only you could get a team of people spiking it, you’d be able to effectively cover every hex you cast on that target because once you cast wastrels it’d be put up again, so removing it wouldn’t help. Echo is definitely effective, arcane echo could let you put on some good hex elites, but there is the energy issue. Soul barbs would deal out so much damage with multiple WW, and when I tried this in RA, the WW actually stacked up, which really surprised me, so this would be the optimal time to exploit this glitch.
