They probaly fixed it for one main reason, the ritualists have spells that give them ashes in there hands what acts like one of these items (book, keg or whatever). Altough it could be used to an advantage :P

A lot of people are saying it was "Put back the way it was intended" if this was the case, they would have done it a year ago...so yes...it was nerfed.

If there going to nerf anything surly they should nerf the UW so the A.I don't just go for the weakest target, as you can stand there and they'll attack the 55 monk wouldn't it be funny if they didn't and killed the necro GG to 55 UW farming

Immediately after the updates, but before we had bothered to check them out on the Guild Wars page, two guildies and I cleared SF.
We didn't have a tank, and we didn't have a primary monk.
It's really not that hard to figure out folks. Start using your bloody imaginations for once! We cleared the place as fast or faster than the 5-man team, with a build we've been using for ages.
And hell... We did it with 3, but it's very possible to do it with 2...

This was changed because of factions. The ritualist would have a skill called "Hold ashes" I believe. So this is infact a good thing for Faction players.

Oh dear, what a pity, never mind - tbh I don't care either way as never found a need to use the book/gear/torch tricks to complete the missions/areas - they're all easy enough with a decent party and bit of thought.

since they fixed that, did they also fix the "Egg Trick" that evrybody used to kill the dragon in Dragon's Lair mission (forgot name of te dragon, Grindch i believe?) ? cuz its the same idea, shes only goin after the one who has the Egg...

I believe they fixed the entire Hold Item Aggro mechanic. So I would imagine the egg trick is no longer effective either. You don't need it to kill her anyway...
And yes, farming is extremely boring, but it's a method of making money, not to have fun. IMO it can kill a game for you if you do it too much.

Wow! Mtank325, that's what I tried to do for as long as they started to farm SF. I only wanted/want to do the quests but no one was interested and up till today I have done only the Kilroy quest, with henchies tho!
